This is the second movement of my orchestral tone poem about Prague, This movement gives a musical picture of the three most famous kings of Prague, King Wnceslas, King Vitas and King Adalbert (Sigismund). Each played a major part in the history of Prague and the Czech republic. The movement is divided into three sections which are summed up by the final section as we see the River Vltava flowing through the great city on its way to the sea. At just over 6 minutes this would be a great piece for a light concert.

Walking in the Air is a song written by Howard Blake for the 1982 animated film The Snowman based on Raymond Briggs' 1978 children's book of the same name. The song forms the centrepiece of The Snowman, which has become a seasonal favourite on British and Finnish television. The story relates the fleeting adventures of a young boy and a snowman who has come to life. In the second part of the story, the boy and the snowman fly to the North Pole. Walking in the Air is the theme for the journey. They attend a party of snowmen, at which the boy seems to be the only human until they meet Father Christmas with his reindeer, and the boy is given a scarf with a snowman pattern. In the film, the song was performed by St Paul's Cathedral choirboy Peter Auty, and reissued in 1985 (on Stiff Records) and 1987. In 1985, an altered version was recorded for use in a TV advertising campaign for Toys R Us. As Auty's voice had then broken, Blake recommended the then-14-year-old Welsh chorister Aled Jones, whose recording reached number five in the UK Singles Chart, and who became a popular celebrity on the strength of his performance. The association of the song with Jones, combined with Auty not being credited on The Snowman, led to a common misbelief that Jones performed the song in the film. Walking in the Air has subsequently been performed by over forty artists, in a variety of styles. In a UK poll in 2012, the Aled Jones version was voted 13th on the ITV television special The Nation's Favourite Christmas Song.

King of the Road is a song written by country singer Roger Miller, who first recorded it in November 1964. The lyrics tell of the day-to-day life of a vagabond hobo who, despite being poor (a man of means by no means), revels in his freedom, describing himself humorously and cynically as the king of the road. This String Quintet / Orchestra arrangement is written in a Country Swing Style and features a cello solo and jazzy string ensemble playing. It also includes optional Acoustic Bass and Drum Set parts. The MP3 sample starts in measure 5.

The chansonnettes are easy songs of different styles (folk, classical, pop, romantic, Christmas carols, etc). They are arranged for Recorder or String Quartets, but can easily be arranged for any group of players. This is an example of what can be done with the songs. It's an arrangement of Chansonnette 141 for orchestra. The sounds are still computer generated. Playing it, will bring the music to live.

This song is variation on the old song Pastime with good company (almost identical but not minor), known also as The ballad of the king as it was written King Henry V. So this is about pastime with a good cake in the kitchen.
