Taken from the Disney/Pixar animated movie UP, this is an arrangement that reflects the soundtrack that underlies the famous bitter sweet montage scene about Carl and Ellie Fredricksen's married life together. It is animated film making and story telling at its brilliant best and supported equally brilliantly by the subtle genius of Michael Giacchino's music scoring.
This arrangement version for chamber orchestra follows and reflects the music, scoring and structure of the soundtrack to this scene, although there are a few places where alternative solo or supporting harmony lines are given to give your ensemble options. This would be a wonderful programing idea to any concert for kids, or a concert of film music or animated classics.
