Composed by Friedrich von Flotow. Arranged by Edited and typeset by Trevor Denyer. 19th Century,Opera,Romantic Period. Score and Parts. 104 pages. Trevor Denyer #785099. Published by Trevor Denyer (A0.1185409).

This overture to the unknown (these days) romantic opera by Flotow deserves to be performed - being full of melodies and varied textures. It was previously in an innaccurate and hard to read form, which has now been tidied and corrected into a modern typeface.
Print the parts double-sided, as presented, and the page turns will work.

Rübezahl is seen to be the guardian of the Krkonoše Mountains. Physically, his appearance varies; he can take any form he wishes, from an old grandma to a giant crossing his mountains with one step. (Wikipedia).

Composed by Therese Brenet. Contemporary,Spiritual. Score and parts. 47 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #119693. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.532888).

For this work, the composer has chosen to write three movements of an equal strength and an equal dramatic force. She leaves aside the idea of a calm slow movement which one usually finds at the center of a long work. With these three outbursts, she understands that she hasn't chosen the easiest route and that she is transgressing the traditional rules of classical form. She knows that she is risking that her work will bore or tire her listeners. Motivated by her inspiration, she has decided to break with the usual equilibrium, which she knows is a challenge and which she holds herself responsible, reminded of the phrase by Jean Cocteau : “It is clear that certain works haunt you, troubling your moral comfort and teach you that the best method is that of men who work outside of learned rules.” The title is inspired by the writing of Hildegarde van Bingen, who was one of the most extraordinary figures of the 12th century. A mystic who was also a doctor, a poet, a linguist and astronomer, her influence spread over all Europe. This is the full score. The parts are on rental from the publisher. Composed by Howard Blake. Arranged by Kevin Riley. 20th Century,Christmas,Film/TV. Score and parts. 53 pages. Kevin Riley #720042. Published by Kevin Riley (A0.1118521).

Walking in the Air is a song written by Howard Blake for the 1982 animated film The Snowman based on Raymond Briggs' 1978 children's book of the same name. The song forms the centrepiece of The Snowman, which has become a seasonal favourite on British and Finnish television. The story relates the fleeting adventures of a young boy and a snowman who has come to life. In the second part of the story, the boy and the snowman fly to the North Pole. Walking in the Air is the theme for the journey. They attend a party of snowmen, at which the boy seems to be the only human until they meet Father Christmas with his reindeer, and the boy is given a scarf with a snowman pattern. In the film, the song was performed by St Paul's Cathedral choirboy Peter Auty, and reissued in 1985 (on Stiff Records) and 1987. In 1985, an altered version was recorded for use in a TV advertising campaign for Toys R Us. As Auty's voice had then broken, Blake recommended the then-14-year-old Welsh chorister Aled Jones, whose recording reached number five in the UK Singles Chart, and who became a popular celebrity on the strength of his performance. The association of the song with Jones, combined with Auty not being credited on The Snowman, led to a common misbelief that Jones performed the song in the film. Walking in the Air has subsequently been performed by over forty artists, in a variety of styles. In a UK poll in 2012, the Aled Jones version was voted 13th on the ITV television special The Nation's Favourite Christmas Song.

Composed by Christopher R. Brown. Christian,Gospel,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 83 pages. Christopher Brown #4756795. Published by Christopher Brown (A0.747214).

About the song: In Psalm 22:22, David writes, I will praise You to all my brothers; I will stand up before the congregation and testify to the wonderful things You have done. Again, in Psalm 66:16, the psalmist says, Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what He did for me. Jesus, after healing a man with a demon, commands the man to go home... and report the great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you. The testimony of a life changed by God's love and His great mercy is a powerful tool for both spreading the Good News and resisting temptation. It is good for us to remember and proclaim, both personally and collectively, the great things the Lord has done.

Lyrics:

Verse 1

Let me tell you a story of grace,

How the Son of Man died in my place.

Raised to life, all my sin was erased.

Praise the Name of the Lord.

Verse 2

Many times I have asked of the Lord,

On my knees I have prayed and implored.

In the waiting my soul is restored,

Praise the Name of the Lord.

Chorus 1

This is what the Lord has done for me,

Paid my debt and set this captive free.

Mercy flowed down at Calvary,

This is what the Lord has done for me.

Verse 3

When I’m tempted to fear the unknown,

I’m reminded I don’t walk alone.

Christ is with me and He’ll lead me home,

Praise the Name of the Lord.

Chorus 2

This is what the Lord has done for me,

Paid my debt and set this captive free.

Mercy flowed down at Calvary,

This is what the Lord has done for me.

Bridge

Opened these blind eyes to see,

Softened this heart to believe,

Pardoned my sin on a tree,

Now I stand redeemed.

Key Change (up whole tone)

Chorus 3

This is what the Lord has done for me,

Paid my debt and set this captive free.

Mercy flowed down at Calvary,

This is what the Lord has done for me.

Chorus 4

Paid my debt and set this captive free.

Mercy flowed down at Calvary,

This is what the Lord has done for me.

By Hanka Ordonowna. By Henry Vars. Arranged by Marek Czekala. 20th Century,Film/TV. Score and parts. 29 pages. Marek Czekala #793907. Published by Marek Czekala (A0.1194600).

Love will forgive you everything - the song was written in 1933, the music was composed by Henryk Wars, and the words were written by Julian Tuwim (under the pseudonym Oldlen). The song was a hit in interwar Poland and remains so to this day. The song was written especially for the film The Spy in the Mask, which enjoyed a record attendance in cinemas. It was sung by Hanka Ordonówna and soon the song became her artistic showcase. Later, Ordonówna often resembled a song in the Małe Qui Pro Quo theater. The piece performed by Ordonówna was recorded on the Syrena-Electro label, which was very popular at the time. The publisher's circulation reached tens of thousands of copies, and the discs with this recording were pressed for almost six years due to the constant interest in the song.

Miłość ci wszystko wybaczy – piosenka powstała w 1933 roku, do której muzykę skomponował Henryk Wars, a słowa napisał Julian Tuwim (pod ps. „Oldlen”). Piosenka była przebojem w międzywojennej Polsce i pozostaje nim do dziś. Utwór został napisany specjalnie na potrzeby filmu Szpieg w masce, cieszącego się rekordową frekwencją w kinach. Zaśpiewała go w nim Hanka Ordonówna i wkrótce piosenka stała się jej artystyczną wizytówką.
