Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1081597 Composed by Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber. Arranged by Joshua Choe. Baroque,Classical,Sacred. Score and parts. 48 pages. JMJ Arrangements #685713. Published by JMJ Arrangements (A0.1081597). Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up according to custom; and when the feast was ended, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents did not know it, but supposing him to be in the company they went a day’s journey, and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintances; and when they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking him. After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions; and all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. And when they saw him they were astonished; and his mother said to him, 'Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been looking for you anxiously.' And he said to them, 'How is it that you sought me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?' And they did not understand the saying which he spoke to them. And he went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:41-52, RSV-CE).

Published by Zsigmond Rosarion (A0.1518051). The Valley of the Dry Bones is based off of the chapter in Ezekiel The Valley of the Dry Bones (from the Bible) symbolizes the Israelites' revival and God's power and sovereignty Ezekiel 37:1-6The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones. He caused me to pass among them round about, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley; and lo, they were very dry. He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’ Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath [spirit] to enter you that you may come to life. I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will know that I am the Lord.’”Ezekiel is called by the Lord, and given a vision. Ezekiel is set down in a valley full of bones. This is not some symbolic imagery, but these are literally dead people, long dead. God asks Ezekiel if he believes the bones can come back to life, and Ezekiel says only the Lord knows. God gives Ezekiel a prophesy concerning all the dead. At a future date, God will cause breath (His Spirit) to enter the bones so that they may come to life. God will use His power (which is always through the Spirit of God) to cause these dead to be resurrected. We know this isn’t symbolic of spiritual death and spiritual life because of the graphic imagery that is used.

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.986832 Composed by Madelyn Byrne. Contemporary. Score and parts. 18 pages. Madelyn Byrne #2003237. Published by Madelyn Byrne (A0.986832). Nocturne for Orchestra began as a piece that would celebrate the 400th Anniversary of Galileo’s telescope while using a musical language that would be in keeping with a program of American music. I thought that The Unanswered Question by Ives, and the emotional depth and poignancy of much of Copland’s music, would be a perfect compliment to a tribute to Galileo. But then two friends passed away and the piece turned into a tribute to them, with the night sky and the Unanswered Questions that surround us creating a consoling environment for this effort. The songlike themes of Nocturne grow out of my journey from mourning the premature deaths of my friends to celebrating their rich and vibrant lives. Section A is the dreamlike introductory section, B is a transition to the song-like section, and C is where the songlike themes are stated outright. D is a development section, E is an interruption - returning to the dreamlike music, F merges the dream music with the thematic material, G is the expressive high point of the piece and is articulated by the violin and cello solos. The remaining sections are intended to convey freedom and celebration. This is followed by a brief coda.

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.994719 Composed by Darian Stavans. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 66 pages. Music Studio #4321783. Published by Music Studio (A0.994719). Noir et Blanc.Noir et Blanc - Orchestral Score / Album Noir et Blanc by Darian Stavans.Noir et Blanc is a work that was totally conceived for orchestra. As we listen to the album we are intrigued, for the only element lacking is the contrast suggested by the title. Why? The answer is that contrasts do not exist. They are simply the furthermost points in a grayscale that when displayed like a fan shows these extremes and therefore their contrasts. The deeds and acts that flow inside our mask of power come and go in nostalgic melancholy through pain and glory trickling like the water in a brook, where tenderness meets madness. Sometimes everything seems the same even though each element acts differently. This album speaks about that intriguing grayscale and the powerful force that lets it plunge into the depths of human essence and the soul. In the face of facts, seemingly distinct and at the same time so alike, only courage will prove out their differences and make us dare call out the Noir et Blanc, the Black and White, but until that moment comes things will appear to flow in a grayscale. Orchestral work.64 pages.Duration: 39:00Website: www.darianstavans.comemail: darianstavans@gmail.comYouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/darianstavans/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Darian.Stavans1.

Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1009811 Composed by Phillip S. Ledesma. 20th Century,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 11 pages. Phillip Steven Ledesma #1919003. Published by Phillip Steven Ledesma (A0.1009811). Full Orchestral Score. Marches is the 2nd movement to the 1st symphony.   In contrast to the more sublime Ruhevoll (and the 4th movement Molto Adagio) Marches utilizes many aspects of the march in various settings, from large brass and woodwind circus venues to trios of soloists, while also encompassing the somber funeral procession. Marches opens the brass and low strings in a dogfight; the brass fire short staccato blasts as 'cellos and basses answer with long lyrical lines setting the pace until the cat and mouse game ends with the low strings driving their way to the trio. When the three soloists finish their introductory theme they are answered by the full orchestra taking the theme and surrounding it with all the boisterous bells and whistles of a circus march! But the reality is that marches are - at their core - war music, and the waste that war causes has to be addressed in the funeral march. These themes are all cycled through once again, with a coda that cleverly ties things up.

Full Orchestral Score.  This Scherzo is the 3rd movement of the 1st symphony and employs a humorous and playful opening  as the woodwinds and strings play a lot of cat and mouse in their question and answer segments.  This all switches to a brief adagio that gets us to the concluding Andante section introduced by a solo horn before the mood is set for pizzicato strings to pace the new direction the adventure takes.  A recap utilizes some interesting changes in instrumentation with a clarinet solo that restates the opening theme at the same blistering pace the violas were relentlessly challenged by!  The studio engineer that put the CD recording together liked this movement of the first symphony above all the others!

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.976706 Composed by Robert Myers. 20th Century,Christian,Christmas,Contemporary,Sacred. Score and parts. 46 pages. WheatMyer Music #4604745. Published by WheatMyer Music (A0.976706). The title,What Child We Sing, is a play on two traditional Christmas carols, What Child Is This and Sing We Now of Christmas, which are the basis of this new work. What Child Is This is almost always paired wth the 16th Century English tune, Greensleeves, a ballad of unrequited love. Both the text and tune of Sing We Now of Christmas come from a traditional French Christmas carol, Noel Nouvelet, believed to be even older than Greensleeves. These two traditional Christmas carols blend together in several ways so as to make the compilation into one work a natural result. Both tunes are set in a minor mode with a very similar narrow melodic range that effortlessly flow together. The question of what child lies in the manger is answered in the refrain of Sing We Now of Christmas with the proclamation, Sing We Noel, the King is born, Noel. The result turns out not to be a medley but a melding of two distincts into one union, What Child We Sing? What Child We Sing best works in the Advent or Christmas seasons with its strong exposition of traditional Christmas carols and would be suitable in a sacred concert or as a prelude, offertory, or reflective music in either liturgical or unstructured service. It has sufficient artistic metric to be suitable for the concert stage as well, although it is not at all difficult, being suitable for intermediate or higher level musicians.

Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1282260 By Aere Greenway. By Johannes Brahms. Arranged by Aere Greenway. Classical,Romantic Period. Score and Parts. 105 pages. Aere R Greenway #873570. Published by Aere R Greenway (A0.1282260). Brahms composed his piano sonata in F-minor, in 1853, at the age of 20.  Markings in the piano music, such as 'like cello', or in another place 'like pizzicato', suggest he was thinking in orchestral terms.  Indeed, the earliest sketches of his 1st symphony come from the year his sonata in F-minor was published.  Yet he worked at least 14 years on his first symphony, finally publishing it in 1876, at age 43.  What if Brahms had orchestrated his sonata in F-minor, opus 5, publishing it as his first symphony, in his youth, rather than at age 43?  Attempting to answer that, I embarked on a big project, to orchestrate Brahms sonata in F-minor, into a symphony.  And you can listen to it yourself, as the music of Brahms comes shining through, as a symphony that 'might have been'.  Though the instrument choices and dynamics adjustments for orchestra are mine, the music is all Brahms.  See what you think.  This is the 5th movement, the Finale.  The music of Brahms is a long-time favorite of symphony audiences, and this could be a hit with your audience, as well.
