Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1468652 Composed by Keith Mansfield. Arranged by Kevin Riley. 20th Century,Film/TV. 33 pages. Kevin Riley #1046894. Published by Kevin Riley (A0.1468652). Keith Mansfield (born 1941 in London, England) is a British composer and arrangerknown for his creation of prominent television theme tunes, including the Grandstandtheme for the BBC.Mansfield's works include The Young Scene (the original 1968 theme to The Big Match), Light and Tuneful (the opening theme for the BBC's coverage of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships), World Champion (the closing theme for NBC's coverage of the same tournament), and World Series (used for the BBC's athletics coverage). One of his library music recordings, Teenage Carnival, was used as the theme to the cult 1960s ITV children's television series Freewheelers. He has also composed film scores for British movies such as Loot (1970) and Taste of Excitement (1970), and the western Three Bullets for a Long Gun (1971). He also scored the start-up and shutdown themes for Granada Television in 1978, which were used for ten years before it switched to 24-hour television.

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1358993 Composed by David Newman. Arranged by Laird Halling. Film/TV,Pop. 32 pages. Laird Halling #943417. Published by Laird Halling (A0.1358993). This full orchestra arrangement of the theme from the movie Galaxy Quest makes a great short opener for a pops concert or sci-fi themed program. Galaxy Quest is a 1999 American science fiction comedy film directed by Dean Parisot and written by David Howard and Robert Gordon. A parody of and homage to science-fiction films and series, especially Star Trek and its fandom, the film stars Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell and Daryl Mitchell. It depicts the cast of a fictional defunct cult television series, Galaxy Quest, who are visited by actual aliens who think the series is an accurate documentary, and drawn into a very real intergalactic conflict.

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1140067 Composed by Don Bowyer. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival. Score and parts. 73 pages. Dolphin Don's Music School #740323. Published by Dolphin Don's Music School (A0.1140067). During Malaysia's third Covid-19 Lockdown, in January 2021, I composed a short piece for solo trombone each day for 14 days, performing them each evening in an online stream from my apartment balcony. This work fleshes out the themes from Lockdown Miniatures #1 and #4. The first two themes, from Lockdown Miniatures #1 (subtitled Here We Go Again), reflect the angst and uncertainty of beginning yet another lockdown — with all businesses once again closed, police roadblocks preventing movement beyond the neighborhood, and all human contact reduced to a small screen. The third theme, from Lockdown Miniatures #4 (subtitled Loss), is meant to express the raw emotion associated with losing loved ones over the previous ten months. This piece was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Miran Vaupotic, on 26 February 2022 as part of a project by Parma Recordings. The album, titled Sparks: Eye of London, was released in October 2022 on Navona Records.

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.850553 Composed by Ronald Hazlehurst. Arranged by Kevin Riley. 20th Century,Film/TV. Score and parts. 24 pages. Kevin Riley #457258. Published by Kevin Riley (A0.850553). Composer and conductor Ronnie Hazlehurst, who also produced themes for such series as Are You Being Served?, Yes Minister, and Only Fools and Horses, created the theme for the show. The BBC initially disliked Hazlehurst's theme, feeling it was not proper for a comedy programme to have such mellow music. He was asked to play the music faster for more comedic effect but eventually his original slower version was accepted. A jauntier, upbeat version was played by a brass band in the episode Full Steam Behind. The theme, an instrumental work, featured lyrics three times. The 1981 Christmas special, Whoops, had two verses of lyrics written by Roy Clarke that were performed over the closing credits. The 1983 film, Getting Sam Home, used those two verses, with an additional two and played them over the opening credits. Another altered version was sung during Compo's funeral in the 2000 episode Just a Small Funeral. Bill Owen also wrote a different version of the lyrics but this version was never used during an episode of the show. Composing the score for each episode until his death in 2007, Hazlehurst spent an average of ten hours per episode watching scenes and making notes for music synchronisation. Hazlehurst then recorded the music using an orchestra consisting of a guitar, harmonica, two violins, a viola, cello, accordion, horn, bass, flute, and percussion. The distinctive harmonica was played by Harry Pitch, who had featured in the 1970 one-hit-wonder Groovin With Mr Bloe. The harmonica part is included in this arrangement but it is cued in the Flute 1 part if one is not available.

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1284734 Composed by Ennio Morricone. Arranged by John Langley (at Studio Orchestrations). 20th Century,Broadway,Chamber,Film/TV,Musical/Show. Score and Parts. 14 pages. Www.studio-orchestrations.com #875911. Published by www.studio-orchestrations.com (A0.1284734). This is one of Ennio Morricone's most evocative and yearning themes from the Kevin Costner and Sean Connery classic THE UNTOUCHABLES directed by Brian De Palma.  The theme comes where Malone has been brutally/mortally shot and wounded and gives Elliott Ness, his friend, the critical information to enable him to arrest Al Capone's bookeeper before dying.  Malone's murder is one of the most unexpected and shocking moments on celluloid when it happens but Morricone's theme is full of pathos and lament for a much loved character. For your event/concert of film music, this is a short but always moving piece that hopefully will fit around your other programming ideas.  In a market where loud film music is all the rage, this offers a beautiful sorbet to an evening of movie classics. This arrangement is written for Solo Alto Saxophone (Default solo instrument)Solo Alto Flute*  (alternative solo instrument)Acoustic guitar (or Harp)*Strings* Morricone does use Alto Flute to play a version of this theme earlier in the soundtrack and this can make a contemplative and quiet version of the same music so your group can choose instrumentation, esepcially where no saxophone is available in your group or concert; also if your group doesn't have a guitar then this can be played by Harp as well.

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1402356 Composed by Ron Goodwin. Arranged by Chris Siddall. Film/TV. 33 pages. Chris Siddall Music Publishing #985569. Published by Chris Siddall Music Publishing (A0.1402356). While his scores for both 633 Squadron (1963) and Operation Crossbow (1965) had boasted patriotic, major-key themes celebrating the heroics of the protagonists, composer Ron Goodwin took a different approach for Where Eagles Dare, generating his main theme for the picture out of the initial notes of an ascending minor scale. Rather than celebrate the heroics of the screen characters, the title music embodies the single-minded ambition of the protagonists to infiltrate the mountain fortress of Schloss Adler and complete their mission, no matter what the costs. The composer recalled in a 1994 interview that some of this approach came from the filmâ??s director, Brian Hutton. For instance, he wanted music at the beginning of the film but he also wanted to hear the airplane engines approaching from the distance, which is actually why he started off with just the side drums playing quietly and then building up and getting louder, so that you could actually hear the sound of the airplane before the orchestra comes in. After the snare drum and the â??Aâ? section of the main title comes a melodically related fugal section that, the composer told Randall D. Larson in 1984, was an idea that arose from the â??concept of people following each other around and dodging away from each other...[which] gave me the idea of writing a sort of fugue-style theme...and then I used that in various ways for all the sort of creeping and following and chasing that was going on throughout the film.â?Created from the original manuscript, this release offers a rare opportunity to study film music in its authentic, original orchestration and arrangement. An opportunity not to be missed!
