This accessible arrangement for one piano, four hands preserves the delicate interplay of Schubert's orchestral lines. It makes the ideal teacher-student recital piece at the advanced intermediate level. Arranger's Notes: The secundo part is more difficult than the primo because of the two-against-three pattern in the middle section. I created this arrangement as a Mother's Day gift for my mother Rae Anne Tyra in 2013. We still enjoy playing it together.

The piece focuses on balancing the melody and  the accompaniment to achieve a calm flowing melody, that for me represents the full moon.
