Walking in the Air is the flying theme from the animated film, The Snowman. Written by Howard Blake for the film in 1982, a new version sung by Aled Jones, was a top 5 hit in the UK in 1985. It has been a permanent fixture on Christmas playlists ever since. This version is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Clarinet.

Yellow Submarine, by the Beatles, was released on the 1966 album, Revolver. The song was written by Lennon and McCartney with the limited range of Ringo Starr’s voice in mind. The recording of Yellow Submarine included numerous sound effects and backing vocals from everyone from Marianne Faithful to Brian Jones. There has been much speculation as to what the lyrics of Yellow Submarine might mean, but Lennon and McCartney insisted it was just a nonsense rhyme for children.
