Concert,Contemporary,Wedding. 13 pages. Music-Scores.com #4616063. Published by Music-Scores.com (A0.721432). Elfin Dance, Fairy Dance. The secret of success for this little dance is to play very quiet, short staccato notes: not always easy to do. Contrast this with a few crescendos, returning immediately to quiet, and you will conjure up a picture of magical elfins darting around in the air.A quintet for Soprano, 2 Alto, Tenor and Bari Saxophones.Arranged by Anne Christopherson at www.music-scores.com

Saxophone Ensemble,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Bass Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.992932 Composed by Claire Tomsett-Rowe. Blues,Jazz. 35 pages. Masquerade Music #597532. Published by Masquerade Music (A0.992932). Pat Pong is movement two (of four) from the delightful 'A Night In Bangkok' original suite by Claire Tomsett-Rowe for flexible saxophone octet (with optional bass sax) - not to be confused with 'ONE Night in Bangkok' from Chess! (the musical). Pat Pong shows the sleaze of a visit to a club (musical directions include 'filthy' for example ;D). Other pieces from the suite (though not included here in this purchase) are 'Tuk Tuk Ride': a thoroughly bonkers ordeal as the tuk tuk careers around the city (complete with many blaring horns and panic!) as it endeavours to reach its destination. Tuk tuk ride is one of the two more lively movements from the book (Spicy Disco is the other hilarious and rather frantic piece....obviously someone really needs to party! ;D), and (thankfully!) some respite on the river boat ride (Chao Phraya) which is a nice slow tempo with blending lines (great for practicing control and blending within the ensemble). The saxophone octet is aimed at advanced confident ensembles (we'd typically recommend grade 7+) due to the tempo changes (and just tempo for that matter!).

Saxophone Ensemble,Woodwind Ensemble Bass Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1284437 By Bing Crosby. By Irving Berlin. Arranged by John Ivor Holland. 20th Century,Christmas,Film/TV,Holiday,Jazz. 18 pages. John Ivor Holland #875608. Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1284437). The song that would become White Christmas was conceived by Irving Berlin on the set of the film 'Top Hat' in 1935. He hummed the melody to Fred Astaire and the film's director Mark Sandrich as a song possibility for a future Astaire-Ginger Rogers vehicle. Astaire loved the tune, but Sandrich passed on it. Although White Christmas has become iconic, this was not the original intention. The song Be Careful, It's My Heart, played during the Valentine's Day section of the film 'Holiday Inn', was originally intended to be a bigger hit when production commenced. The success of the song eventually led to another film based on it, 'White Christmas' (1954), which starred Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen. It was an extremely loose remake of 'Holiday Inn', with a similar plot. This arrangement for saxophone choir features all the warm melody and rich harmonies of the original, with nods to another carol along the way.
