The harmonies are spread across the low brass and trumpets and lower woodwinds. The flugal, mellophone and baritone horn continue with the melody throughout with high woodwinds doubling the melody. The percussion section includes quad toms, timpani, snare, and bass drum. The flute part could be doubled by xylophone and/or other pitch percussion in octaves. The lower register long tones lend itself to a warm up to begin the show and the rhythmic cadence for this piece makes it a good down field number to place the marching band in a presentation formation for additional selections.
