Samba de Uma Nota Só is a song with music by Tom Jobim and lyrics by Newton Mendonça. The English lyrics, One Note Samba, were written by Jobim. Its title refers to the main line of the melody, which first consists of a long series of notes played in the same key, in the rhythm of bossa nova (usually D, played in key of G). The first eight bars consist of D, followed by four bars of G, and finally four bars of D. Then there are four bars of more varied melody. The song became well known after reaching a wide audience through the 1962 Grammy-winning bossa nova album Jazz Samba (Getz / Byrd / Jobim), which reached number one on the Billboard 200 in 1963.

Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, two versions were recorded for the film, one by the lead actress AuliÊ»i Cravalho and the other by Alessia Cara. How Far I’ll Go won a Grammy in 2018 and has been consistently the most streamed song in the Disney canon since its release.

Musicians at an intermediate standard will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performances. Total performance time is around three minutes. This is the full length version as sung in the film, with the verse, bridge and chorus performed twice and a final chorus a semitone higher. Very famous Swiss Song with 10 variations for flute solo

According to tradition, the Swiss Thomas Legler, then Grenadier Lieutenant in French service, began this song at dawn on November 28, 1812 with his comrades just before the Battle of Beresina broke out. This song later became a public good under the name Beresinalied.

The Beresinalied still commemorates the battle that took place 200 years ago at the Beresina in what is now Belarus. In November 1812, four Swiss regiments, which had to move to Russia with Napoleon, made a decisive contribution to covering the retreat of the defeated army across the Beresina river. Of the originally 9,000 Swiss, only about 350 came back alive. Napoleon's Russian campaign, the last battle of which was at the Beresina, was the largest, unprecedented human-made disaster at the time.
