Flute Solo,Soprano Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1404972 Composed by Alan Edgar. 20th Century. Individual part. 4 pages. Alan Edgar Ted Moon #988008. Published by Alan Edgar Ted Moon (A0.1404972). Duration: about 3 minutes. If you are to perform the pieces, please let us know: there is no charge. In contrast to my very popular Two Meditations, which were in ancient modes, these use 20thC techniques. Woodland was inspired by a notated motif and mysterious elements found in a tapestry by Libby Morton-Gibson and by the quartal-based Haru No Umi or The Sea in Spring by Michio Miyagi. After I play a game with the scale, every phrase delineates a four-note quartal: classical progressions including a circle of fifths are cunningly concealed within. The rhythms are unpredictable. Use your imagination. The scale game returns in retrograde at the end.Ā Will- o'-the- Wisp is the eerie and elusive flame sometimes formed over marshes. The term is also used to mean an unobtainable wish. I use my octatonic scale.

Flute Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.546891 By Julio Iglesias. By Louis Gaste, Morris Albert, and Thomas Fundora. Arranged by AntĆ“nio S. Fernandes. Multicultural,Pop,Rock,Traditional,World. Individual part. 1 pages. AntĆ“nio S. Fernandes #156828. Published by AntĆ“nio S. Fernandes (A0.546891). Feelings is a song by the Brazilian singer Morris Albert, who also wrote the lyrics. Albert released Feelings in 1974 as a single and later included it as the title track of his 1975 debut album. The song's lyrics, recognizable by their whoa whoa whoa chorus, concern the singer's inability to forget my feelings of love. Albert's original recording of the song was very successful, performing well internationally. In mid-1975, Feelings peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the Adult Contemporary chart in the United States. In 1986, French songwriter Louis GastĆ© successfully sued Albert for plagiarism on the grounds that the tune was taken from GastĆ©'s 1957 song Pour Toi; GastĆ© is now credited as the song's co-author. Morris Albert - Feelings (Sheet Music) Feelings (em portuguĆŖs: sentimentos) Ć© uma canĆ§Ć£o gravada pelo mĆŗsico brasileiro Morris Albert, lanƧada em junho de 1974 no Ć”lbum After We've Left Each Other. #MorrisAlbert #Feelings #Flute.

Flute Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533567 Composed by Carson Cooman. Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Individual part. 18 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3022373. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533567). I. CapriceII. Folk ArabesquesIII. MarchIV. Aria and InterludesV. Hootenanny at the Gates of HeavenSonata in memoriam Daniel Pinkham (2007) for flute was written for and is dedicated to flutist FenwickSmith. The work was written in memory of American composer Daniel Pinkham (1923-2006) ā€“ a composerwhose music, advocacy, and personal support meant a great deal to me over the years I knew him.Throughout his distinguished career as a composer, keyboard performer (on harpsichord and organ),teacher, and conductor, Dan Pinkham served as an inspiration for countless American composers andmusicians.I had planned to write a solo flute sonata for a few years and made many sketches towards such a work. Inearly 2007, reflecting on Danā€™s passing in December 2006, I threw out everything I already had and begananew, conceiving the work both as a tribute to Dan and a piece for his close friend and frequentcollaborator Fenwick Smith. The five movements of the work each explore ongoing transformation of their opening materials. Thoughthere are elegiac moments in the work, the tone throughout is zestfully celebratory, with touches of humor, representing Pinkhamā€™s irrepressible and memorable wit.The first movement, Caprice, flies through a series of arpeggio figurations in changing modes (often adifferent mode ā€œgoing upā€ from ā€œcoming downā€).The second movement, Folk Arabesques, is based on a Kentucky folk ballad, ā€œJohn Riley.ā€ The unusual leapsin the original melody and its modal shifts are explored in the surrounding commentaries, which takecombine bits of the folk ballad with arabesque figurations. The third movement, March, leaps through the total chromatic spectrum. Though the march is a form oftenignored by American composers, Pinkham often employed such sections and rhythms in his own music. The fourth movement, Aria and Interludes, uses a common Pinkham formā€”where the basic musicaldialogue (in this case a straightforward ā€˜ariaā€™ melody in G minor) is interrupted by ā€œinterludesā€ ofcontrasting nature. In the case of this movement, it is gradually revealed that the interludes are alteredversions of the aria material. The fifth and final movement, Hootenanny at the Gates of Heaven, is a joyous romp, combining together boththe chromatic/modal shifts of the earlier movements with pentatonic figurations and melodies in the spiritof American folk fiddling.ļ»æ

Published by Sonata Grendel Publishing (A0.837512). A Tonal Lexicon for Flute is a complete method for scale and arpeggio training on flute. It contains the basic vocabulary of tonal music and includes: Ā·      Chromatic ScalesĀ·      Diminished ScaleĀ·      Dominant Seventh ChordsĀ·      Dorian ScalesĀ·      Full-Range Major ScalesĀ·      Full-Range Melodic Minor ScalesĀ·      Fully-Diminished Seventh ChordsĀ·      Half-Diminished Seventh ChordsĀ·      Harmonic Minor ScalesĀ·      Major ScalesĀ·      Major Seventh ChordsĀ·      Major TriadsĀ·      Melodic Minor Scale in ThirdsĀ·      Melodic Minor ScalesĀ·      Minor Seventh ChordsĀ·      Minor TriadsĀ·      Mixolydian ScalesĀ·      Natural Minor ScalesĀ·      Scales in ThirdsĀ·      Scales in TrillsĀ·      Whole Tone Scales Scales and arpeggios are ordered so that they progress logically, one to the other. This order contextualizes the melodic and harmonic structures so that the performer begins to develop a natural sense of how the scales and arpeggios function within a tonal framework. The scales and arpeggios are divided into three large units that include both major and minor keys, easy and difficult keys. The close relationship of each key is emphasized to build automaticity in fingering patterns. Enharmonic keys are represented in both spellings and non-diatonic scales such as whole tone and chromatic scales are spelled as they would be found in each of the fifteen key signatures. The use of octave designation symbols is avoided so that the player is able to acclimate themselves to the many ledger lines sometimes found in flute music. This is an essential book for any serious flute player who wishes to build reading acuity and fluency in any tonal setting.
