It is a shorter piece that demands the technique of some syncopation and embellishments on the main theme. Each part is important between the melody and chord building with many chords having an added 7th and 9th to contextually bring this piece to the next level. This version, which transposes from F minor to F# minor, along with a horn line that is in the upper register, provides a challenge for fingerings that will test the dexterity of valved instruments.
