Abide with Me

This arrangement will be useful to accompany congregational or choral singing (as it is in suitable keys) or it can be used as a purely instrumental piece. After a short introduction the tune is presented simply - a key change before the final verse leads to a majestic presentation of the tune with an effective descant.

This arrangement is suitable for school bands and ensembles as well as more experienced players. The arrangement allows for a great deal of flexibility in presentation and will sound complete with as few as four players yet the scoring allows for expansion up to a larger ensemble or small brass band.

A full set contains a score and a set of parts (with permission to copy to suit your own requirements) for the following instruments covering all orchestral brass and brass band instruments and transpositions

Brass (or Saxophone) Trio - Earl of Salisbury's Pavanne by William Byrd
Written in 1612 this stately Pavane has interest in all parts which together weave a satisfying harmonic and contrapuntal texture.
The score is for Orchestral Trombone section (2 Tenor Trombones and Bass Trombone) but parts are also supplied for Horn in F, Horn or Saxophone in Eb, Baritones/Euphoniums/Trombones/Saxophones in Bb, Bass Tuba/Baritone Saxophone in Eb.
This makes various combinations possible, for instance
3 Trombones as per score OR
Horn, Trombone, Tuba
Eb Alto sax, Bb Tenor, Sax, Eb Baritone Sax
