This is a festive arrangement for brass and timpani, with optional soprano descant.  This arrangement includes an introduction and three settings of the tune.  Llanfair is commonly set to the Easter text Christ the Lord is ris'n today and the Ascension text Hail the day that sees him rise.  The organist/pianist can use the standard harmonization of this tune along with every setting.  It is also possible to use a second brass choir to play the first setting as the foundation accompaniment, with the other settings played on top of the first.

Adeste Fideles or O Come All Ye Faithful is a Christmas carol commonly attributed to John Francis Wade in approximately 1743.

This arrangement is for the Brass Band and should work well with a choir or congregational singing the traditional words. The Traditional Counter Melody/Descant has been added in the 3rd verse. There are extra parts for Horns in F, Trombones in BC, Euphonium in BC, and Tuba in C. There are optional parts for Piano and Bass Guitar. The arrangement has an optional repeat for either 4 or 5 verses. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. There is also a version for Concert Band with optional strings in the same key.

This was passed to me by a friend who said could this be arranged for band?. A slightly unusual melody, it is simply set here, with the tune being passed around the band. The soprano cornet plays a descant over one of the verses, and the piece concludes with a rousing full band sound.

Abide with Me

This arrangement will be useful to accompany congregational or choral singing (as it is in suitable keys) or it can be used as a purely instrumental piece. After a short introduction the tune is presented simply - a key change before the final verse leads to a majestic presentation of the tune with an effective descant.

This arrangement is suitable for school bands and ensembles as well as more experienced players. The arrangement allows for a great deal of flexibility in presentation and will sound complete with as few as four players yet the scoring allows for expansion up to a larger ensemble or small brass band.

A beautiful arrangement for Brass Band. - Key of  Ab to Bb in the last verse. This tune was composed by Philip Paul Bliss (1838-76); an American writer of hymns and a Gospel singer. In the 2nd verse, the melody is taken up by the Baritones and Trombones in a very easy comfortable range. The Descant part is played in the 3rd Verse at the change of key;
