Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.748804 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Bill Carmody. Classical,Concert,Romantic Period,World. Score and parts. 46 pages. Bill Carmody #2888297. Published by Bill Carmody (A0.748804). This is the fiery finish to the trio. This Rondo movement is marked Presto and works at a great clip or less hectic.  The tune is catchy and the interaction between the parts is clever, bouncy, and charming.  This is a good encore or stand-alone piece as well.  Some of the variations get tricky, but lay well for the instruments. Beethoven doing what he does best, but with only three parts! This flexible trio allows for part 1 to be played on horn, trumpet, or bass clef instrument, and part 2 for horn or BC.

Brass Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.510142 Composed by Eliot Ferguson, Eugene Hutz, Oren Kaplan, Sergey Ryabstev, and Uri Lemeshev. Arranged by Andrea La Rose. Contemporary. Score and parts. 44 pages. Andrea La Rose #6411627. Published by Andrea La Rose (A0.510142). • Melody and harmony parts for all standard band and orchestral instruments, plus drums.• Chords included in every part, to encourage use of song as a vehicle for improvisation.• In original key, so you can play along with the recording. As a young musician, I often had a hard time finding music for me and my friends to play together. Small wonder, when I was a flutist and my closest friends in band played trumpet, baritone sax, and clarinet. Who writes for that combination? Later, as a music teacher, I would either be approached by students in the same kind of situation or I would have an after-school ensemble consisting of something like 3 flutes, 2 alto saxes, 4 pianists, 5 drummers, a guitar, a viola, and an accordion. Now, really. Who writes for THAT combination?! Since I am also a composer (who often finds herself writing for similarly odd instrumentation), I would simply arrange music for that combination. But not every teacher or student is comfortable with doing that or has the time to. Finally, I am sharing with you all the fruits of my labor. Let friends play with friends! Let people pick parts that they are comfortable with! Let’s play some music we love!

Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808708 Composed by George Job Elvey. Arranged by F. Leslie Smith. Christmas,Easter,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 27 pages. Sweetwater Brass Press #6477787. Published by Sweetwater Brass Press (A0.808708).      George J. Elvey composed Diademata to serve as the melody for Matthew Bridges’ hymn Crown Him with Many Crowns. Published in 1868, its name derives from diadema, the Greek word for crown, which is also the source of the English word diadem. Diademata remains the most frequently used tune for Crown Him with Many Crowns.       This arrangement contains five versions of the melody. It opens with a quotation from bars 5-8 of Elvey’s score to introduce the arrangement. The first time through the 16 bars of Crown Him with Many Crowns the tempo is marked Andante e Rubato: that is, take it moderately slow but feel free to speed up or slow down in your interpretation. Two instrument pairs take turns doing this-Trumpets 1 and 2, and Horn in F and Trombone. The remainder of the piece should be played at an up-tempo speed of about 120 bpm.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811267 Composed by Johann Hermann Schein. Arranged by Kenneth Biggs. Baroque,Classical,Renaissance. Score and parts. 41 pages. Gordon Cherry #6737627. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.811267). Johann Schein set two verses from Psalm 117 as an antiphonal choral piece in Latin. A Dominum factum est istud (This is the Lord's doing) has been wonderfully arranged for 8-part mixed Brass Ensemble by Kenneth Biggs. The work of almost 5 minutes in length is appropriate for moderately advanced performers and Mr. Biggs has supplied many substitute parts so the work may be performed by any number of Trumpets (in C or B-flat), Flugelhorn, Horns in F, Trombones (in bass clef and alto clef) and Tuba. There are 15 parts in all, and the ranges are quite moderate, so this is a perfect antiphonal work to introduce to less experienced performers. This arrangement works very well with mixing and matching of all the different instruments together.

Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767279 Composed by Claudio Monteverdi. Arranged by Mike Lyons. Baroque,Renaissance. Score and parts. 38 pages. Lyons Music Services #3218699. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767279). As part of my continuing project to transcribe Monteverdi's madrigals onto winds, here is the 6th book. In this book we see a much greater development towards dramatic representation. In a way, this book is divisible into two Scenes with a number of single items in between. The vocal lines are all much more complex and we can also see the beginnings of monodic writing appear in the semi-recit sections of some of the songs. Also clearly developing are delineations of the voices into soloists and chorus. Several songs in this book are almost akin to arias, with clear soloistic writing for the higher voices (Cantus/Tenor). The first four songs form a kind of introductory 'scena', which Monteverdi calls Lamento d'Arianna. A little later, there is a set of 6 songs which he grouped together under the title Sestina. This song, No 10 starts with the line Here Tirsi laughed and wriggled under the two(twin?) stars of the beautiful Clorinda I think you get the picture! We can see plenty of musical laughing and wriggling in the music with dotted rhythms and semiquaver runs. The top two voices are Clorinda (doing a fair amount of wriggling herself) while the bottom two take the part of Tirsi. There are places where all four voices give vent to an exclamation and where, presumably, the two lovers had to stop for breath! The original incorporates a very basic continuo part, which I have shared between the resting voices. As with all things madrigalian, the lyrics are rife with double entendres.

Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.780064 By Billie Eilish. By Billie Eilish O'Connell and Finneas O'Connell. Arranged by Graham Boag. Pop. Score and parts. 18 pages. Graham Boag #6026933. Published by Graham Boag (A0.780064). No Time to Die is a the twenty-fifth instalment in the James Bond film series produced by Eon Productions. It features Daniel Craig in his fifth and final outing as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. It is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Léa Seydoux, and Christoph Waltz reprise their roles from previous films, with Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, and Ana de Armas joining the cast.  The theme song is sung by the American singer Billie Eilish. In January 2019, Eilish told her management that she wanted to be involved if any Bond things come up…whatever we have to do we will do. When the opportunity did arise, the pair jumped into action to book a recording studio, but it left them intensely uninspired and suffering from writer's block. Following this lacklustre day in the studio and they ended up writing and recording the song in a tour bus in Texas, after Finneas came up with an initial chord progression; in just three days the song was written and recorded. Prior to this, the siblings had a meeting with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, who sent them the script for the opening scene in order to give them a bit of inspiration, which Eilish said was so cool and really, really helpful.Finneas claimed it was useful to go back to listen to previous Bond themes to ensure they were on the right track and did not copy or recreate something which had already been done before, adding that there are few things in your career that are as desirable as doing a Bond song. We did not take the opportunity lightly and worked as hard as we could to prove ourselves. Eilish also revealed that Daniel Craig himself had a major role in vetting the submissions.ALTERNATIVE PARTS 1, 2, 3 &  4 ARE INCLUDED TO ALLOW FOR FLEXIBILITY DURING COVID-19 REHEARSALS.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808682 Composed by Turner Layton (1894-1978), Henry Creamer (1879-1930). Arranged by F. Leslie Smith. Holiday,Jazz,Pop. Score and parts. 32 pages. Sweetwater Brass Press #3454039. Published by Sweetwater Brass Press (A0.808682).      After You’ve Gone, composed in 1918 by Turner Layton (melody) and Henry Creamer (lyrics), was a hit from the beginning. Al Jolson introduced it to live audiences, Marion Harris’ record went to #1 in early 1919, and since then dozens of artists have recorded it . . . and many are still doing so. The words are rather sad-she’s leaving and he’s trying to get her to stay-but played up tempo, the melody is bouncy and fun. That sad-versus-happy dichotomy is incorporated in this arrangement. It begins with a bright, bouncy introduction and first-time-through of the chorus, then slows so the Horn in F can play a melancholic and somewhat schmaltzy rendition of the verse. The Tuba provides a transition back to the upbeat chorus, and we are again off to the races. Layton’s melody slips and slides from one instrument to the next (with the Tuba getting an entire iteration all to itself!), until the pace again slows for a 4-bar reminder of the sentimental verse, which then gives way to a rousing Dixieland-like closing.
