Va tacito e nascosto... is one of the most well-known arias from Handel's opera masterpiece Giulio Cesare in Egitto, written in 1724. It is one of the first arias to prominently feature the natural horn alongside the solo vocalist and the extract is often required for horn auditions with opera orchestras.

This arrangement for brass quintet features a solo trumpet performing the vocal line with the solo horn largely replicating the original extract from the opera, accompanied by the other three members of the ensemble. .
