The Versatile Brass Big Band Collection for Brass Band

We recorded this son on the Versatile Brass CD 'Renaissance' with the wonderful David Pogson as the soloist. This is the original version that I did for Brass Band.

It was recorded originally by Glenn Miller and his orchestra and was featured in the film Sun Valley Serenade in 1941.

It is a great tune by the legendary Harren Warren with lyrics by Mack Gordon.

This is an arrangement I did of the Glenn Miller classic for trombone quartet. This was featured in the 'Legends of Brass' concert in 2018, and by the Newhall Band in their entertainment programme at the Bolsover Festival of Brass.

Written in 1941, Chattanooga Choo Choo was first recorded by the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and went on to become the very first gold record. It has since been recorded by countless artists including Ted Heath, the Andrews sisters, and even by the Muppets.

This arrangement is for standard brass quintet of 2 Bb Trumpets, French Horn, Trombone and Tuba. The PDF download contains a full score and all five parts.
