The wonderfully orchestrated work is especially graceful, invoking scenes of winter and skaters falling to the ice. Angus Armstrong's very fine 8 minute arrangement is suitable for advanced performers and is scored for: Piccolo Trumpet in B-flat, C Trumpet & 2 Trumpets in B-flat, 2 Horns, 3 Trombones, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Timpani and Percussion

A Dominum factum est istud (This is the Lord's doing) has been wonderfully arranged for 8-part mixed Brass Ensemble by Kenneth Biggs.The work of almost 5 minutes in length is appropriate for moderately advanced performers and Mr. Biggs has supplied many substitute parts so the work may be performed by any number of Trumpets (in C or B-flat), Flugelhorn, Horns in F, Trombones (in bass clef and alto clef) and Tuba. There are 15 parts in all, and the ranges are quite moderate, so this is a perfect antiphonal work to introduce to less experienced performers. This arrangement works very well with mixing and matching of all the different instruments together.
