    Borodin wrote his String Quartet No. 2 in 1881. Seventy-seven years later, Robert Wright and George Forrest took the subordinate theme of the Quartet’s second movement and used it as the basis for Baubles, Bangles and Beads, in the 1953 Broadway musical Kismet. The song became a hit in its own right and enjoyed success on recordings, radio and television.

This is an arrangement for brass quintet of Seal's hit 'Kiss From A Rose'. First released in 1994, and featured in the film Batman Forever, this song was a no.1 hit in the US and Australia.

This arrangement features the trombone as the main soloist, with some wonderful moments for showcasing the rich, vocalistic tone of the instrument. The French horn also has some 'pearly' moments, starting with the opening introduction soaring high in the register. The trumpets also enjoy the melody during the chorus which features them playing together in octaves. Some moments in the trombone and horn part may be a little high for some players, but these will work just as well taken down an octave where necessary.

This is a terrific song, with rich harmonies and lots of melodic interest. It would make a lovely addition to a mixed concert programme.

This is an arrangement for brass quintet of Ed Sheeran's best-selling song, Perfect. Ed described his song as the best love song of his career. It was the best selling song in the 1st half of 2018, reaching no.1 in the US, UK and in 16 other countries around the world.

The arrangement features the trumpets, starting with a beautiful solo for 2nd trumpet, before the melody is passed on to the 1st trumpet. The other instruments have interest with rhythmic accompaniment, counter-melodies and lush harmonies. The accompaniment has a 1950's 'doo-wop' feel. There is a gradual crescendo throughout the piece, with a final uplifting chorus featuring the whole group before calming to a quiet and reflective finish.

This arrangement is for a classical brass quintet, and could form part a mixed concert programme, or would work well as a stand-alone piece.

This famous song by the Killers is sure to get the crowd going! A great sing-along, perfect for festivals, pub gigs, or just a fun piece to add to a concert. The iconic opening is played by the second trumpet - with a technical pattern requiring a light touch and some good flexibility. The tuba takes the limelight in the first verse, before taking on the role of bass, providing a solid rhythm. The trombone also gets the tune, and the trumpets have the option of taking some parts up an octave if they choose. This would suit an advanced student group - grade 7+.

This arrangement for brass quintet will fit in any mixed concert programme and will no-doubt have the audience singing along. It has interest across all parts, but particularly features the french horn. The opening is gentle, with a simple accompaniment to the horn melody, gradually building before reaching a big final chorus with the tune shared between the trombone and the trumpets, complete with soaring counter-melodies for the french horn.
