It may also be performed by a double/triple brass quintet, a larger brass ensemble, or the brass section of a concert band/orchestra, with percussion. For the sake of simplicity, the various, advanced cadenzas near the end of the original fanfare have been omitted. The duration is just under 2 minutes.

2020 SMP Press Composition Contest Entry for the Popular instrumental ensemble category:  This is a brass quintet arrangement of a song for the end credits of Walt Disney Pictures' 1993 motion picture, The Three Musketeers, which starred Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Chris O'Donnell, Oliver Platt, Tim Curry, and Rebecca De Mornay.  The song was originally performed and recorded in D major by co-writer Bryan Adams, with Rod Stewart and Sting.  It was a worldwide hit, reaching number one across Europe, Australia and North America.  This music is in Db major and the playing time is approximately 4:15.  En Garde!

2020 SMP Press Composition Contest Entry for both the Contemporary and Sacred instrumental ensemble categories: This public domain Christmas carol had been arranged by Charles Black for acapella SATB choir. It has now been arranged & expanded for brass quintet, initially with 2 trumpets sharing the soprano part, horn playing the alto part, trombone playing the tenor part & tuba playing the bass part. All 5 players get to take a turn at playing the melody, lastly the tuba while the other players harmonize for the final verse. The approximate playing time is 1.5 minutes. Enjoy.
