This is a brass quintet version of Billboard's Number 2 Holiday tune-- Christmas (Baby please come home)...who knew?  Zack based this on the original Darlene Love version and included the bari sax solo (in trumpet 2), while also finding a bit of room for all five instruments to get a piece of the melody.  This should be playable by intermediate musicians although the first trumpet goes up to a written C towards the end of the chart.

This is a fairly faithful brass quintet adaption of the Prince party tune. Trombone is featured heavily and takes the iconic guitar cadenza at the end. Trumpet 1 also gets featured on Prince's guitar solo (which is written out and kind of high). If you have a stand out trombonist in your group, this will work really well (and if your trombonist is not very strong, you probably should go check out one of Zack's other Prince arrangements).

 Zack has taken Britney Spears's hyperkinetic pop hit and chilled it out to what it really ought to be-- a laid back bossa nova!  Trumpet 2 is featured on flugelhorn with a written out jazz solo.  There are some other fun little things going on within the arrangement (maybe a hint of Crazy Train? a touch of Red Clay? a Stevie Wonder quote?) An optional drum set part is included. The audience will definitely remember this one!

This brass quintet is a very classical take on one of Prince's more underrated hits. Zack wrote this as a French horn feature (who else would you feature on a Prince ballad?), though trumpet 1 and tuba also get some solo space as well. Like the original, the piece starts sparsely and builds to an exciting climax. Rated advanced because it really requires an excellent horn player.

This is a brass quintet version of Prince's hit Kiss. The arrangement is a combination of the album version of the tune ( which was very straight and witty) and the live version (which had a horn section and was a lot funkier). We've classified this as advanced in difficulty due to a couple high notes in the first trumpet, french horn, and trombone--along with the need for everyone to have really solid time. Trumpets and trombone get most of the melody on this one. This will be a great opener to your Prince set (Zack's arrangements of Little Red Corvette, Purple Rain, Delirious, Raspberry Beret, 1999 and When Doves Cry are all available on this site).

This is a 2018 Holiday Contest Entry written for Brass Quintet.  Award-winning writer Zack Smith has arranged a very faithful rendition of the Mariah Carey holiday classic which will be perfect for your updated winter concert.  Medium difficulty (the melody as Mariah sings it has a lot of syncopation).  The arrangement begins with a rubato version of the melody, then goes into the up tempo swing.  Trumpets, trombone an horn all get a piece of the melody while the tuba drives the song forward.

This is a brass quintet version of A Banda- the song made famous by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass.  Though not as memorable as some of their hits, this was the group's tenth most popular tune!  The arrangement uses the trumpet/trombone unison that was in the original recording, as well as the signature two trumpet harmony.  Quirky in nature, your audience will be tapping their toes while they try to remember the name of this one!

This is a fun brass quintet arrangement of the Bruno Mars hit- perfect for wedding gigs and pops concerts.  The first half is pretty much like the original but with a little more of a New Orleans second line feel.  The second half gets a little more interesting with thicker harmonies and a trumpet and tuba solo (both written out). Intermediate difficulty-- the first half is sight readable , but you should probably rehearse the second half before performing it. First trumpet has a couple written B's. .

This is a brass quintet version of Prince's When Doves Cry. It begins with Trumpet 1 playing the iconic opening guitar lick, then it moves into a reasonably faithful version of the song. At the third verse there is a deep reharmonization of the melody, then it moves into the end vamp with trumpet 1 and trombone soloing together. Very cool- and people will recognize it.
