Composed about 1810, it wasn’t until 1867, forty years after Beethoven died, that Ludwig Nohl found, transcribed and published Für Elise. Alas, the original signed manuscript that Nohl discovered has since disappeared.      One mystery of course, is Who was Elise? While scholarly guesses have identified several women who could or might have been Elise, there is still no definitive proof.     Another mystery: Did Beethoven actually write this piece? The pianist and musicologist Luca Chiantore has suggested that the original Beethoven manuscript, upon which Ludwig Nohl claimed to base his transcription, may never have existed. On the other hand, there are two surviving preliminary sketches for Für Elise in Beethoven’s hand, and the British composer and musicologist Barry Cooper has pointed out that the rough draft closely resembles the published version.     In this brass quintet version, Trumpet 1 and Trumpet 2 handle the melody-i.e., the right hand in the piano score-for much of the piece, both taking turns and playing together. Most of the time Tuba, Horn in F and Trombone do the honors for the left hand. Horn in F does, however, take the melody line occasionally, sometimes with Trumpet 2 playing a harmony line above. The score performance level is marked Advanced, and with all the sixteenth notes, this arrangement may look difficult. But it’s really more Intermediate, with the only really tricky parts coming in sections D and G.

It features Daniel Craig in his fifth and final outing as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. It is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Léa Seydoux, and Christoph Waltz reprise their roles from previous films, with Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, and Ana de Armas joining the cast.  The theme song is sung by the American singer Billie Eilish. In January 2019, Eilish told her management that she wanted to be involved if any Bond things come up…whatever we have to do we will do. When the opportunity did arise, the pair jumped into action to book a recording studio, but it left them intensely uninspired and suffering from writer's block. Following this lacklustre day in the studio and they ended up writing and recording the song in a tour bus in Texas, after Finneas came up with an initial chord progression; in just three days the song was written and recorded. Prior to this, the siblings had a meeting with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, who sent them the script for the opening scene in order to give them a bit of inspiration, which Eilish said was so cool and really, really helpful.Finneas claimed it was useful to go back to listen to previous Bond themes to ensure they were on the right track and did not copy or recreate something which had already been done before, adding that there are few things in your career that are as desirable as doing a Bond song. We did not take the opportunity lightly and worked as hard as we could to prove ourselves. Yesterday is a song by English rock band the Beatles written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon–McCartney) and first released on the album Help! in the United Kingdom in August 1965. McCartney composed the entire melody in a dream one night in his room, and upon waking, he hurried to a piano and played the tune to avoid forgetting it. McCartney's initial concern was that he had subconsciously plagiarised someone else's work. As he put it, For about a month I went round to people in the music business and asked them whether they had ever heard it before. Eventually it became like handing something in to the police. I thought if no one claimed it after a few weeks then I could have it. I have arranged the melody here as a solo trombone feature which has been successfully performed in concert many times.

Published by William Ortiz (A0.1009008).      Sandungueo uses Caribbean and Hip-Hop dance motives to create a lively and festive soundscape. The opening cencerro and reggaeton rhythmic motives proclaimed by each instrument is significant in that it appropriates the works essence and soul. Sandungueo is a style of dance and party music associated with reggaeton. This reggaeton motive returns throughout the piece and culminates with it. The piece emulates a jazz ensemble where there are sections in which most instruments are called upon to solo against a rhythmic basso continuo or vamp. Latin and Hip-Hop rhythmic motives are prominent and integral to the work.

Published by David Healy-Richards (A0.1015626). Moon Chasers is my third musical work and is dedicated to my Girlfriend who I met in the International Brass Band Summer School in Swansea in 2016. This piece of music is aimed at capturing the feeling of a young couple savouring the moment as they experience it. Not worrying about the future or the past just the here and now. I tried to capture this feeling with suspensions and utilising the different sections of the band. The intro represents the end of a manic day, driving home until A. Where the duet kicks in A melody and a counter-melody representing two young lovers. It starts as a minimalist quartet before the scoring becomes a lot thicker allowing more colours to come out. We hear echoes of the next section which starts at (D) with a rhythm that feels like its slightly behind the beat. It's a simple harmonic line but as it feels behind the beat this achieves a kind of euphoric feel to the music. This is then decorated by the twinkling stars that we here popping up every now and again which are represented by the Glockenspiel.
