Violin Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1188788 By Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Leo Silva. New Age,Pop,Spiritual. 2 pages. MP Sheet Music #788404. Published by MP Sheet Music (A0.1188788). The Fool on the Hill was released by The Beatles in 1967 as part of the Magical Mystery Tour album, which also included All You Need Is Love and Penny Lane. The song was written and composed by Paul McCartney and is sung by him and John Lennon on the studio version. The song is about a solitary, eccentric character who stands and watches the activity of the people around him. He does not feel part of the activity that is taking place, since no one notices him or cares about what he says or does. Although people view him as a fool, the narrator says that he knows more than he speaks. It was well received by critics and was hailed as one of the best songs by The Beatles. The Fool on the Hill was praised for its message of acceptance of different people and for its unique music. It was recognized as a symbol of acceptance and tolerance, and is still remembered today as one of the band's most iconic songs.

Violin Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.930560 Composed by Seifeddin Abdoun. Contemporary,Instructional. 107 pages. Seifeddin Abdoun #4268457. Published by Seifeddin Abdoun (A0.930560). The Red Violin Method & Technique Book presents first position violin technique with intensive studies of music fundamentals.  Exercises are simply explained throughout selected works of well-known composers. The book includes precise fingering, reading, and bowing skills; double stops, dotted notes, intervals, scales, and syncopation.  The book also addresses dynamics (pianissimo, piano, forte, fortissimo,  etc.), tempo (largo, lento, adagio, andante, moderato, etc.), and articulations (legato-slurs, accents, fermata, staccato, spiccato bowing). The right hand is thoroughly and sequentially developed through a series of bow techniques.  Each bow technique defines a specific action required to produce an acceptable bow hand. The book uses a note-to-note sequence with finger's indication above and below the note heads.  Accurate illustrations of the bow and fingerboard help develop proper playing position and mixing finger patterns. This technique creates better left-hand shape and helps develop proper playing position from the beginning. New material is carefully paced, sequential and immediately reinforced. New notes are approached by step, then gradually played with wider skips and crossing strings. Each new rhythm is introduced as a Rhythm Rap, which can be shadow bowed, then played on an open string, and finally placed in an appropriate melodic setting. Beside the selected melodies from well known composers, I composed many original melodies and exercises for this particular book.

Violin Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.720827 By Adam Levine & Tony Lucca. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Leo Silva. Film/TV,Pop. 1 pages. MP Sheet Music #329214. Published by MP Sheet Music (A0.720827). Yesterday is a song composed by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon/McCartney), recorded in 1965 for the album Help!. According to Guinness World Records, Yesterday is the song with the most radio broadcasts worldwide, with more than six million broadcasts in the United States. Yesterday is also the most covered song in popular music history, with over 1,600 different interpretations. BMI claims the song was performed nearly seven million times in the 20th century. This was the first official Beatles composition recorded by just one member, Paul McCartney, accompanied by a string quartet. The composition is notably different from the other previous works of the musical group, which is why the other members did not accept that it was published as a single in the United Kingdom.

Violin Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1512713 Composed by Steven Kruse & Penny Thompson Kruse. 19th Century,20th Century,Classical,Instructional,Traditional. 47 pages. String Play for All #1087663. Published by String Play for All (A0.1512713). It has long been accepted practice that, after first position, the next positions a violin or viola student learns are third and fifth positions. There is a good reason for studying the odd-numbered positions first. The body of the instrument and the crook of the neck provide solid reference points for finding these positions. Hamonically, first, third, and fifth position outline the triad, the foundation of Western tonal music. The fingering of fifth position matches first position, making it easy to learn. It is unfortunate that this focus on third and fifth position has often been at the cost of any discussion of the even positions: 2, 4, 6, and 8. This is evident in the traditional etudes and study material available for violin and viola. With the new tonal demands of twentieth and twenty-first century music, knowledge and familiarity with the entire fingerboard has become essential.LIke the relationship in fingering between first and third position, the same relationship can be found between second and sixth and fourth and eighth positions. We have chosen to introduce these positions together, with melodies that can be played in both positions. Shifting exercises between the even positions are also provided. We hope teachers and students will find this material useful.
