New music for an ancient dance! This evocative slow belly dance tune is composed for solo violin and can be accompanied by an improvising drummer familiar with belly dance rhythms. Raqs Julia is composed as a veil dance in the classic American cabaret belly dance rumba bolero style and is named in honor of a prominent Southern California dancer and costume designer.
