This short solo violin piece by the songwriter and composition student Antonis is a study of the traditional Chinese music! It is providing an opportunity for the violin student and the violin performer to play music that is not written in the Western Harmony style, the empty intervals of fifths and fourths that prevail in the pentatonic style create a strange impression to the western ear, but this piece is also ment to explore their soothing qualities as well and to evoke images of the Chinese countryside, taking the player and the listener along on a journey! It also explores special techniques and articulation for the violin. Please excuse the computer's awful rendition of the glissandos in the mp3 version!
