The idea for this piece comes from wanting to fade varied rhythmic groups with a Klezmer style of violin playing. After working through the piece, what I found most exciting is the absolute wonkiness that it has in every section. As the piece develops in time, the sense of meter becomes less concrete.

Thus, the first movement, “Dawn�, is structured in 11 sections (it is a gift from the age of 11) of 4+5+5 bars. “Reading� has 9 sections of 4 bars and the melodic-harmonic sequence is formed by the complex [4, 5, 6, 7, 9], so we all find ourselves involved in the reading plot. The third section melody is in the piano while the soloist presents a gently obbligato. The next transition is more active rhythmically and then concludes in a sense of determined solemnity.
