One theory suggests Haste to the Wedding derives from a tradition in County Donegal, Ireland, where it was played as the bride marched from her home to the church on her wedding day. Haste to the Wedding was played during Queen Victoria's wedding to the thousands waiting outside the chapel for the queen's arrival. It has been much recorded, including by Fennig's All-Star String Band.This arrangement is for early intermediate violin, fiddle, and mandolin players.
