Capri c'est fini is a French song, composed and sung by Hervé Vilard. This song enjoyed great success in France from its release in June 1965 and launched the career of the young singer who was then 19 years old. Vilard recorded the song in seven languages ​​and sold 2.5 million copies. The lyrics describe a romantic breakup. The song's title, which is identified with its chorus, uses the Italian island of Capri, where the relationship was formed and lasted, to represent the couple who break up. Hervé Vilard, who had just signed his first contract with Mercury Records, was not successful in singing the songs in English re-recorded in that studio's catalogue. Inspired by a concert we attended, plus the encyclopedic O'Neill's Music of Ireland (over 1000 fiddle tunes), I wrote this modest little collection of strathspeys, reels and jigs, named in honor of the band members, etc. Note: fried pickles was a special cuisine item in Susan's city. Following the release of One Thing at a Time, Last Night ascended from number five to one on the Billboard Hot 100  becoming Wallen's first number one on the chart. The song achieved 47.5 million streams, 18,000 digital downloads sold, and a 10.8 million airplay audience. The same week, Wallen occupied 36 places on the Hot 100, the most of any artist, as well as five of the top 10 on the Hot 100. It was also the first country song by a solo male to top the Hot 100 in over 42 years, following I Love a Rainy Night by Eddie Rabbitt (1980), and the first country song to top the chart since All Too Well (Taylor's Version) by Taylor Swift in November 2021.
