He graduated from Brigham Young University - Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho with a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Music Composition in 2014. He studied Composition with Darrell Brown, Piano with Stephen Thomas, and Conducting with Dallin Hansen. He currently attends the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he is receiving his Master of Music in Music Composition. He currently studies Composition with Elinor Armer. His music explores the extent to which tonality can be stretched and feature playful, artistic score layouts that result in a free-flowing form, often relying on the performer to interpret the result of the musical ideas.
