Instrumental Solo,Viola - Level 1 - Interactive Download SKU: A0.1403991 By Traditional. Arranged by Emma Dansak. This edition: Interactive Download. Folk. Individual part. 1 pages. Duration 48. Mockingbird Violin #45BaXgUHOnDG9eB8Bk11ay. Published by Mockingbird Violin (A0.1403991). Key: G major.Simple viola transcription with generous fingering. A few notes. First, this version is in A minor. I chose this key because it sits well on the viola. But this tune is traditionally in E minor - so this version won't work if you bring it to the local Irish session. Secondly, I made the decision not to include first and second endings, where the only change is the length of the final note because the beginning of the A section has a pickup. I'm only 62% sure of this... but, I mean, it's pretty much implied, isn't it? It looks so fussy and confusing if you don't read music regularly, and this version is not geared at strong readers. The purpose of this edition is more to support by-ear learners anyway.

Viola Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.805659 Composed by Max Bruch. Arranged by Marcus Martin. Concert,Jewish,Praise & Worship,Romantic Period,Spiritual. Individual part. 11 pages. Cornelius Edition (uk) #6702873. Published by Cornelius Edition (uk) (A0.805659). This is Max Bruch's second most famous composition written for cello and orchestra in 1880. The first theme, which also lends the piece its title, comes from the Kol Nidre declaration, recited during the evening service on Yom Kippur. In Bruch's setting of the melody, the solo instrument imitates the rhapsodic voice of the cantor who chants the liturgy in the synagogue. The second subject of the piece is quoted from the middle section of Isaac Nathan's arrangement of O Weep for Those that Wept on Babel's Stream, a lyric which was penned by Lord Byron in his collection Hebrew Melodies.  This arrangement is faithful to the original and is ideally suited to the Viola as the solo instrument .

Viola - difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q19103 Wie das Leben so spielt. Composed by Elisabeth Naske. This edition: Sheet music. Viola Library. Downloadable. Duration 12 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q19103. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q19103). The title goes back to the illustrated book 'Kamfu mir helfen?' by Dirk Schmidt & Barbara Schmidt. The charming story inspired the composer to write music which, according to tradition, is based on the seventh and second intervals, using the common string techniques such as scale, arpeggio, double stop and trill. Naske is one of the most successful female composers in the field of children's theatre. This is why there is a lot of theatricality combined with humour and irony in this virtuoso solo piece, which is also rewarding for viola and violoncello.
