Instrumental Solo,Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1389961 Composed by Johannes Brahms. Arranged by Steve Stanfill. 19th Century,Classical,Religious. Individual part. 3 pages. Steve Stanfill #973524. Published by Steve Stanfill (A0.1389961). This is an organ transcription of the Brahms Op. 122, No 6 chorale prelude, O Wie selig seid ihr doch, ihr Frommen,  This beautifully complex organ prelude is part of a collection of chorale preludes penned by Johannes Brahms in the summer of 1896, just after the death of his dear friend, Clara Schumann.  About this same time Brahms learned that he had pancreatic cancer, which would prove fatal less than a year later.  These pieces are complex, profound musical statements that contemplate eternity--a capstone, if you will, of Brahms life as a man and as a musician. This piece, No. 6 of the 11 published posthumously in 1902, is presented here transcribed for easier performance than URTEXT versions of the piece, primarily by shifting voicing to facilitate easier reading in several measures, as well as providing a discrete pedal line, again, to facilitate performance.  The suggested registration is made to utilize a melody coupler (found on many modern digital instruments) to emphasize the chorale melody rather than create a discrete solo line.

Instrumental Solo,Organ,Tenor Trombone - Digital Download SKU: A0.1379795 Composed by Alfred Hildebrandt Sorensen. Arranged by Niels-Ole Bo Johansen. 20th Century,Romantic Period. Individual part. 4 pages. Gordon Cherry #964499. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.1379795). The Nocturne for Trombone and Organ by Alfred Hildebrandt Sørensen was most likely written while he studied violin and composition at the Copenhagen Conservatory of Music from 1903-1905. It was dedicated to trombonist Anton Hansen, who performed it for the first time at the Tivoli Concert Hall on August 8th, 1918, and then at the King's Garden at the Copenhagen Municipality's Free Concerts, undoubtedly in arrangements for symphony orchestra and wind band respectively. This very expressive work, beautifully edited by Niels-Ole Bo Johansen is suitable for intermediate performers as it is all in bass clef and of modest technique and range. The material is from Anton Hansen's sheet music collection in the Royal Library in Copenhagen. The work has been beautifully recorded by Mr. Johansen and organist Ulrik Spang-Hanssen (sample below on YouTube) as part of The Danish Trombone Heritage, a 2-CD album of over twenty original works from the early 20th Century composed by Danish composers for Professor Hansen.Cherry Classics with Mr. Johansen will be publishing all of these works.

Organ solo - advanced to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q20071 For Organ. Composed by Qi Zhang. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Duration 10 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q20071. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q20071). “With their pure fresh aroma, the tea leaves meet the steaming water that gurgles down into the purple clay teapot. The leaves begin to dance a mystic step, sing a historical song, and celebrate a great time with their best friends. From commonplace tiny sticks, they are reborn as beautiful elves. They stretch their bodies, roll down to the bottom, and float up to the lip of the teapot. Affected by their happiness, the water utters a sweet, elated and joyful whisper. The story can be smelt, observed and felt by hearts.†Inspired by the Chinese history and culture of tea, I composed Symphony in the Teapot in 2005. Because there were very few pipe organs in China, this work was originally written for Electone Organ, an electronic instrument featuring orchestral and newly developed electronic sounds. In 2009, at the suggestion of Cherry Rhodes and Jean Guillou, I arranged this piece for pipe organ and played the European premiere in Église Saint-Eustache in Paris. (Qi Zhang).
