Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1476407 Composed by Phil Lehenbauer. Arranged by Phil Lehenbauer. Classical,Contemporary,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 10 pages. Phil Lehenbauer #1053926. Published by Phil Lehenbauer (A0.1476407). This work for trombone and organ is part of the 2024 Suite for Trombone and Organ, which is geared toward the younger, less experienced player, with works that can be performed at church services and other occasions.  This Festive March on the Old Hundredth is based on the hymn tune, known to most as Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow.  It is written in joyful fashion, and could work well as a festive prelude or joyful postlude.  The range is one that a typical high school player (or advanced middle schooler) could play, with rhythms well within the reach of players at that level.  The solo part is well-supported by the organ part, with hopes that rehearsals can be minimal in putting this together for performance.  There are two other movements to this 2024 Suite, both available on this site as well.  Please give that young musician the chance to shine!  Also included is a treble clef part that could be played by trumpet, treble clef baritone, or tenor sax.

The opening composition, “Marche Nuptiale,” may be played as a complete unit through m. 53. If played as a wedding march, there is a complete change of character in ms. 54-71. At this point it introduces the Latin Introit—Mode III of the Nuptiale Mass found in the Graduale Romanum:  Deus Israel conjungat vos, et ipse sit vobiscum, qui misertus est duobus unicis: et nunc, Domine, fac eos plenius benedicere te.  P.T. Alleluia, alleluia.  Ps. Beati omnes qui timent Dominum: qui ambulant in viis ejus.*  This section may also be played independently while the couple approaches the altar as an introduction to the sung introit.*“May the God of Israel join you together; and may he be with you, who took pity upon two only children: and now, O Lord, make them bless thee more fully.  Ps. 127:1  Blessed are all they that fear the Lord; that walk in his ways.”* * *The Recessional, an A B A form, serves any Sunday as a postlude or a practical extension after the main recessional at a wedding (key of G with frequent flat 6-Eb). Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.846375 Composed by Johann Strauss Jr. Arranged by Christopher Evans. Romantic Period. Score. 4 pages. Christopher Evans #5776551. Published by Christopher Evans (A0.846375). I have arranged this march from the opera 'Gypsy Baron' by Johann Stauss II for organ solo following a request from one of my choir members, retired Major Ken Gaugh of The Royal Engineers, who was familiar with it as a military march, to which he had marched many times while on parade. Although I don't play it very often, it has become a popular piece at my own church attracting quite a number of humorous (in a complimentary way) comments because, when played on the organ it reminds people of the fairground!!! The indicated registration is for guidance only and can easily be adapted for individual instruments.

Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.922148 Composed by Phillip Magness. Arranged by Phillip Magness. Christian,Contemporary,Easter. Score. 3 pages. Phillip Magness #4288999. Published by Phillip Magness (A0.922148). Hymn Prelude for Organ  A stirring hymn introduction on Timothy Dudley Smith's Palm Sunday hymn. Stands alone as a Voluntary, but excels as an intonation for congregational song. The composition ironically sets up marching feet on the organ as a contrasting image, complementing the irony of the text. While the tune KINGSFOLD appears with other texts in various hymnals, the tone painting of this arrangement is best used with Dudley-Smith hymn. It is found in Christian Worship, the Lutheran Service Book, and Worship (4th edition).
