Organ - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534661 Composed by Claude Debussy/Robert Orledge. 20th Century,Concert,Halloween. Score. 16 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #5739561. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534661). Over the years 1908–16, Debussy had produced a viable scenario for Usher on his third attempt. But when he came to making a complete draft of the music, he seems to have lost interest during Roderick Usher’s long monologue, even though he was setting his own text. As in No-ja-li he jumped to the next passage that interested him, in this case the exciting final melodrama and the collapse of the Usher house itself. In the process of completing the missing half of the score, I discovered that by reusing Debussy’s material for similar psychological situations across the opera, and by metamorphosing existing ideas (as Debussy does with Mélisande’s theme in his opera Pelléas et Mélisande), the only things I really needed to add were linking material and any passages where fast music was required. So the ‘nightmare scherzo’, and Lady Madeline’s escape from her coffin and her final bloody revenge on her brother are all mine, but most of the rest is existing Debussy in changing contexts (in which the Russian technique of ‘changing backgrounds’, both harmonic and textural, proved extremely useful, as it did to Debussy in his Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune). Eventually, both my completed ballet No-ja-li and the House of Usher were successfully premiered in 2006 and the latter soon began to find its way into the established repertoire in Europe and the US. To further support this, I transcribed some of the highlights of Debussy’s score as A Night in the House of Usher for organ, and subsequently piano—with a focus on Scene 2 and the final, horrific and maca-bre melodrama. This climaxes in the double deaths of Roderick Usher and his Sister Madeline, together with the disintegration of the ill-fated House of Usher into the stagnant lake-all beneath a blood-red moon.In this form it was first performed by Ian Buckle in the Howard Assembly Rooms, Leeds in 2010.

Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.846387 Composed by Christopher Evans. Christmas,Contemporary,Praise & Worship. Score. 4 pages. Christopher Evans #5776923. Published by Christopher Evans (A0.846387). Prelude and Fugue on ’Dix’, the tune to which the Christmas carol ’As With Gladness Men of Old’ is sung, consists of a prelude in the style of a stately fanfare and march depicting the majesty of the kings as they make their way to Bethlehem and a fugue in which a variation of the first part of the hymn tune forms the subject which climaxes with a return of the fanfare of the prelude. Although the indicated registration is for three manuals, both movements can be played on two manuals. As the tune is occasionally sung to other hymns at various times of the year, this prelude and fugue is also suitable for other times of the year.

Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1139501 Composed by Alex. Guilmant. Arranged by Phil Beaman. March,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 11 pages. Phil Beaman #739789. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.1139501). I wrote this piece to use as the opening piece for an organ dedication recital I was playing. I admired this March by Alexander Guilmant, but that piece opened softly and I wanted a bold opening; so I expanded and arranged the piece, using Guilmant's own material, and created new beginning sections so that I could open the dedication concert with trumpets. The piece is now about contrasts as I have changed tempi, dynamics, registrations, and textures to alternate with each section. Many colours of the organ are shown, from reeds to flutes, from mp to tutti. The piece builds to a full and vigorous Tutti climax. 11 pages; 5:45 minutes.

Organ - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q11271 En mémoire d'un jeune homme. Composed by Harald Feller. This edition: Sheet music. Dieses Orgelstück eignet sich liturgisch insbesondere für die Passionszeit und Allerheiligen/Totensonntag, aber auch für Orgelkonzerte zum Thema Tod und Vergänglichkeit. Downloadable. Duration 10 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q11271. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q11271). This organ piece is ideal as liturgical piece for Lent and All Saints' Day/Sunday before Advent commemorating the dead but also for organ concerts on the topic of death and transitoriness. 'Poème funèbre is a very personal piece which, like an epitaph, shall bring to mind the death of a person who died young. I think such a remembrance is important, for it connects people with the dead. The first part is a musical expression of lament and grief: Within its symmetrical structure, the composition rises toward a dramatic climax and, diminishing, returns back to its starting point. This part is followed by a second quiet part in which the Gregorian antiphon 'In paradisum' is paraphrased in soft colours, as an expression of consolation and trusting to the sense of the yet incomprehensible.' (Harald Feller).

Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.912506 Composed by Thomas R. Schadl. Concert,Contemporary,Easter,Spiritual,Standards. Score. 5 pages. Thomas R. Schadl #6519091. Published by Thomas R. Schadl (A0.912506). My inspiration for writing this music came from listening to Jehan Alain’s (1911-1940) organ piece CHORAL DORIEN. The work begins softly and builds up sound intensity until it reaches the climax, depicting the longing for joy and peace to come. After the climactic part of the piece is stated, the sound intensity begins to decrease and concludes in a major key. The work is suitable for recital purposes, and may also be performed in church-related events, such as the Lenten and Good Friday services. Organ registrations and tempo indications are only suggestions.

Organ - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1149197 Composed by Vidas Pinkevicius. Christian,Contemporary,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. Score. 4 pages. Vidas Pinkevicius #749328. Published by Vidas Pinkevicius (A0.1149197). This is a Meditation on the hymn tune Franconia. It is a gentle composition which is written in the key of D major. The chorale tune is presented twice in the right hand part and it alternates with the phrases of the refrain. In the first verse the melody is played by a solo voice but the second time the texture thickens into three-note chords. It also reaches climax because the range and dynamic level increases but the piece ends quietly as in the beginning. This composition will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and recital programs.

Instrumental Solo,Organ - Digital Download SKU: A0.1402521 Composed by Chris Kovarik. 21st Century,Classical,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Individual part. 13 pages. Chris Kovarik #985742. Published by Chris Kovarik (A0.1402521). Prelude and fugue on Morning Song (composed 2019, duration ca. 6’ 30â€) is an expansive, if formally straight-forward prelude and fugue. The text ‘O holy city, seen of John,’ is commonly associated with this tune. The text contrasts the grim realities of early 20th Century cities with the idyllic Holy City, described by John in the Book of Revelation. The darkness of this vision is well-captured by the minor mode and relentless 4/4 rhythm of the original tune. These features are amplified in this prelude and fugue, particularly the inherently chromatic nature of the minor mode. This is an unrelentingly dark work that builds to an immense climax.Technical note: this is a demanding work that requires superior technical ability.
