Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1476407 Composed by Phil Lehenbauer. Arranged by Phil Lehenbauer. Classical,Contemporary,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 10 pages. Phil Lehenbauer #1053926. Published by Phil Lehenbauer (A0.1476407). This work for trombone and organ is part of the 2024 Suite for Trombone and Organ, which is geared toward the younger, less experienced player, with works that can be performed at church services and other occasions.  This Festive March on the Old Hundredth is based on the hymn tune, known to most as Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow.  It is written in joyful fashion, and could work well as a festive prelude or joyful postlude.  The range is one that a typical high school player (or advanced middle schooler) could play, with rhythms well within the reach of players at that level.  The solo part is well-supported by the organ part, with hopes that rehearsals can be minimal in putting this together for performance.  There are two other movements to this 2024 Suite, both available on this site as well.  Please give that young musician the chance to shine!  Also included is a treble clef part that could be played by trumpet, treble clef baritone, or tenor sax.

Instrumental Solo,Pipe Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1249537 Composed by Alan Bullard. Contemporary,Praise & Worship. Individual part. 10 pages. Colne Edition / BullardMusic #843955. Published by Colne Edition / BullardMusic (A0.1249537). This fantasia for solo organ is suitable for recital programmes, and for a festive conclusion to a church service. A lively opening, based on fragments from the hymn tune 'York' (sometimes known as ‘Scottish’) leads to a meditative central section in which the hymn-tune is inverted: the opening figures return and a gradual crescendo leads to a grand concluding statement of the hymn.  This work was commissioned by the Leeds Organists' Association in celebration of the 60th Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, and was first performed by Graham Barber on the magnificent Schulze organ of Armley Parish Church near Leeds. Duration 4-5 minutes.Alan Bullard is a regular contributor to the Oxford Hymn Settings for Organists series (OUP), and his Christmas Preludes and Fantasia are published by Banks Music Publications. His choral and organ music is performed world-wide.  www.alanbullard.co.uk.
