Organ - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.932688 Composed by Martin Luther. Arranged by Terry M. Forsyth. Baroque,Christian,Instructional,Sacred,Standards. Score. 8 pages. Forsyth Publishing #6113019. Published by Forsyth Publishing (A0.932688). A four-voice fugue using traditional baroque counterpoint including undeveloped countersubject with related free material at end of recapitulation.  The congregation preferring music on hymns they know will love this write. This writing brings a well-known hymn tune through all the rigors of a baroque fugue with a development where many untrained listeners can still identify the subject.  Challenge is when the countersubject is presented in the pedals making it a great learning piece and addition to one's repetoire.  Tune name:  Ein' Feste Burg.  Time:  6:22.
"A Mighty Fortress Is Our God", organ solo, 4-voice fugue

Organ - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.932698 Composed by Funk's Genuine Church Music, 1832. Arranged by Terry M. Forsyth. 20th Century,Christian,Easter,Instructional,Sacred. Score. 12 pages. Forsyth Publishing #6117201. Published by Forsyth Publishing (A0.932698). Transforms the hymn using turn of century french toccata format.  Uses first three melody notes to create accompanying figure, first episode has first line inverted while using first 12 notes (first line) as triplets to accompany inversion, second episode includes using first four notes to create one of the accompanying figures, ending includes hymn in canon.  8:00 minute piece used for Easter and general service as prelude and as postlude.  Difficulty level considered advanced intermediate  when compared to Carillon-Sortie by Mulet.  Good for concerts, too.  Tune name:  Foundation.

Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.932692 Composed by Johann Cruger. Arranged by Terry M. Forsyth. Christian,Easter,Instructional,Sacred. Score. 2 pages. Forsyth Publishing #6113429. Published by Forsyth Publishing (A0.932692). This Good Friday composition of 2 minutes uses the accompanying figure for the JS Bach composition A Voice Saith 'All Are Mortal' is used with this hymn with melody in pedal.  The concept is by the men doing their job of performing crucifixions seem to have had no idea who was one of the men they were to crucify that day--Jesus was just another victim of their day's work.  The voix celeste is indicated because if this were orchestrated in the baroque period, the accompanying figure would be strings so it is here.  Great for congregations where music is restricted to hymns people know, also good for students learning use of pedalboard because slow meter yet relatively constant movement.  Hymn tune:  Herzliebster Jesu.
"Ah, Holy Jesus", organ solo, melody in pedals

Organ - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1321561 By Michael W. Smith. By Deborah D. Smith and Michael W. Smith. Arranged by Terry M. Forsyth. 20th Century,Christian,Classical,Easter,Praise & Worship. Score. 11 pages. Forsyth Publishing #910033. Published by Forsyth Publishing (A0.1321561). An organ solo, this writing uses the contemporary song for creating a toccata using ninth chords making a fuller texture. A stirring start or finish to almost any service, this composition could finish a concert.  While challenging, the music falls into the hands well. This piece is fun to play and presents in sound and composition a piece that certainly matches the text of the song. Definitely professional level piece.  I am using this piece for the Easter postlude this year. Performance time is 5:50 at 56 bpm. An SATB and organ version of this piece is being created.
