Organ - intermediate to advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q6423 Die Marianische. Composed by Enjott Schneider. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Duration 24 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q6423. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q6423). As a counterpart to the Organ Symphony No. 1 Pater Noster (ED 9937), the Organ Symphony No. 2 offers softer and more mysterious (Marian) sound worlds, sketching stages of Mary's life: an adoring Salve Regina grows from the mystic source, followed by Berceuse pour Marie as a lullaby of the Christmas events. The third movement Mater Dolorosa falls back on the well-known Gregorian sequence Stabat Mater, taking Mary's pain at the cross as its central theme. The finale treats the Ave Maris Stella in a crescendo from pp to ff in a positive and solemn manner, in memory of Mary's assumption. It is advisable to use an organ with at least three manuals.

Organ solo - advanced to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q20071 For Organ. Composed by Qi Zhang. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Duration 10 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q20071. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q20071). “With their pure fresh aroma, the tea leaves meet the steaming water that gurgles down into the purple clay teapot. The leaves begin to dance a mystic step, sing a historical song, and celebrate a great time with their best friends. From commonplace tiny sticks, they are reborn as beautiful elves. They stretch their bodies, roll down to the bottom, and float up to the lip of the teapot. Affected by their happiness, the water utters a sweet, elated and joyful whisper. The story can be smelt, observed and felt by hearts.†Inspired by the Chinese history and culture of tea, I composed Symphony in the Teapot in 2005. Because there were very few pipe organs in China, this work was originally written for Electone Organ, an electronic instrument featuring orchestral and newly developed electronic sounds. In 2009, at the suggestion of Cherry Rhodes and Jean Guillou, I arranged this piece for pipe organ and played the European premiere in Église Saint-Eustache in Paris. (Qi Zhang).

Going Home  is the main theme of the 2nd movement of Dvorak's  New World Symphony. The title was based on the poem set to the music by the lyricist, William Arms Fischer (1861-1948), a student of Dvorak's.  From the poet: The Largo, with its haunting English horn solo ... is a moving expression of that nostalgia of the soul that all human beings feel.  As such, it is a most appropriate work and text for a memorial, funeral service or for All Saints' Day.It has been transposed from Db major to C major to make it more accessible to the average player.

Instrumental Solo,Organ,Tenor Trombone - Digital Download SKU: A0.1379795 Composed by Alfred Hildebrandt Sorensen. Arranged by Niels-Ole Bo Johansen. 20th Century,Romantic Period. Individual part. 4 pages. Gordon Cherry #964499. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.1379795). The Nocturne for Trombone and Organ by Alfred Hildebrandt Sørensen was most likely written while he studied violin and composition at the Copenhagen Conservatory of Music from 1903-1905. It was dedicated to trombonist Anton Hansen, who performed it for the first time at the Tivoli Concert Hall on August 8th, 1918, and then at the King's Garden at the Copenhagen Municipality's Free Concerts, undoubtedly in arrangements for symphony orchestra and wind band respectively. This very expressive work, beautifully edited by Niels-Ole Bo Johansen is suitable for intermediate performers as it is all in bass clef and of modest technique and range. The material is from Anton Hansen's sheet music collection in the Royal Library in Copenhagen. The work has been beautifully recorded by Mr. Johansen and organist Ulrik Spang-Hanssen (sample below on YouTube) as part of The Danish Trombone Heritage, a 2-CD album of over twenty original works from the early 20th Century composed by Danish composers for Professor Hansen.Cherry Classics with Mr. Johansen will be publishing all of these works.
