Organ - intermediate to advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q41509 Composed by Enjott Schneider. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Duration 11 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q41509. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q41509). This frenetic assortment of familiar chorale melodies by Martin Luther was composed to mark the celebrations of Luther’s music (and the 800th anniversary of the choir of St Thomas in Leipzig) in 2012. Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott [A mighty fortress is our God] appears as a powerful ritornello theme, elaborated with tender lyricism just before the end. A chorale setting of Verleih uns Frieden gnädiglich [Lord, in thy mercy grant us peace] makes a calm middle section for this otherwise highly demanding organ piece. The 2012 setting for organ duet has been arranged as a virtuoso work for organ solo in 2015. An organ with three manuals is required.

Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.846381 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by Christopher Evans. Contemporary,Holiday,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score. 4 pages. Christopher Evans #5776905. Published by Christopher Evans (A0.846381). An arrangement of the tune, which Mendelssohn composed to the words of a romantic poem by the German poet Heinrich in 1834. The first semiquaver in each arpeggio type phrase in the accompaniment played on the swell is an octave higher than in the original piano accompaniment. This enables the manual part of the accompaniment to be played with one hand on the swell and for the melody to be played on a solo stop on the great or choir with the other hand. For the repeat the solo melody may be played an octave lower on the Gt 8 diapason stop. The arrangement was requested by friends for their golden wedding celebration.
