Published by Music Macri Editions (A0.931342). Lullaby for Ryan was written between 2020-2022 in memory of my friend Ryan Cooke who was killed in 2016 after a tragic accident. I wrote the piece after I felt his presence when I was having the last seizure in a cluster of seizures that left me with a permanent disability. Composing this piece had been my was of processing the pain I had been carrying for all those years following his tragic death, and this is my way of grieving, processing, accepting, and ultimately sharing my memories of him and to remember him since that fateful day in 2016.
