Trumpet Quintet - Intermediate - Digital Download. The Harmonious Blacksmith is the popular name of the final movement, Air and Variations, of George Frideric Handel's Suite No. 5 in E major, HWV 430. It was originally written for harpsichord but here has been arranged for 5 Trumpets by Regis Bookshar and would be an excellent addition to any music library. It is one of the many arrangements from The The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library that are being made available for the first time. It would be suitable for high school and college students and could be performed for recitals and church services. Included is a score and a complete set of parts (9 pages). Sam Smith's (feat. Kim Petras) Unholy topped the UK and Billboard charts in 2022, and rightly so!  It's spicy music with spicy lyrics, and it has a couple of really cool features for music nerds as well, like the 4-over-3 rhythm (keep your business clean) and the 5th-mode Phrygian scale.  The scale in particular inspired me to arrange the music in the style of a Balkan brass band.

This arrangement is for 8 Bb trumpets and is approximately 2 minutes in length.  The top 4 parts are relatively challenging (good undergraduate trumpet students will be able to play them with a little practice), and the lower 4 parts are relatively easy.
