Accordion - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1303192 By Simple Minds. By Keith Forsey and Steve Schiff. Arranged by Luc Papens. 20th Century,Film/TV,Pop,Rock. 34 pages. Luc Papens #892780. Published by Luc Papens (A0.1303192). This is one of the most popular songs of the Eighties, thanks to the Simple Minds and the film “The Breakfast Club”.The Scottish rock band Simple Minds recorded this song in 1985 for the film which became a cult hit, as did the theme song. The song was written specifically for the movie by songwriters Keith Forsey and Steve Schiff.Simple Minds were reluctant to perform the song since it was not written by them. But gradually it found its way to the playlist and became one of the highlights of their live shows, when the audience sings “lalalala” for minutes. This arrangement for accordion orchestra starts in a ‘classical bombastic’ style, on a slower tempo, but picks up the tempo when the typical drum riff starts. There is a lot of dynamic movement: from soft verses, only 2 voices playing, to bombastic crescendo in the choruses. To get your audience participating, the typical ‘break’ from the live performances is also included, repeating the “lalalala” melody. Just encourage them to sing and clap and see what happens! 😊Have fun with this Eighties Classic! The pdf is a bundle containing the FULL SCORE and a complete SET OF PARTS.It contains: Full Score, Accordion1, Accordion2, Accordion3, Accordion4, Piano/Keyboard, Bass, Percussion, Drums. Note: some pages might be blank to avoid overlapping of parts when printing recto verso. The mp3 is produced by Sibelius notation software and Kontakt sample libraries. Duration: 4:45Luc Papens MusicPopular music for accordion orchestra

Accordion - Digital Download SKU: A0.822592 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Julia Gordon. Celtic,Folk,World. Score. 5 pages. Julia Gordon #3578371. Published by Julia Gordon (A0.822592). four Scottish airs arranged as a set for accordion THE AULD HOOSEWritten by Carilina Oliphant (Lady Nairne, 1766-1845) this is a nostalgic song about her birthplace in Gask, Perthshire.LOCH LOMONDLoch Lomond, also known as ‘The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond’, is a well-known traditional Scottish song first published in 1841 in 'Vocal Melodies of Scotland'. There are many theories about the meaning of the song, most of which are connected to the Jacobite Uprising of 1745. One interpretation based on the lyrics is that the song is sung by the lover of a captured Jacobite rebel set to be executed in London following a show trial. The heads of the executed rebels were then set upon pikes and exhibited in all of the towns between London and Edinburgh in a procession along the 'high road' (the most important road), while the relatives of the rebels walked back along the 'low road' (the ordinary road travelled by peasants and commoners).COMIN’ THRO’ THE RYEThe lyrics were written in 1782 by Robert Burns (1759–96) who put the words to the melody of the ‘Common' Frae The Town’, a variant of the tune to which 'Auld Lang Syne' is usually sung.THE BLUEBELLS OF SCOTLANDThe Bluebells of Scotland is the usual modern name for a Scottish folk song. It was written by Dora Jordan, an English actress and writer, and first published in 1801.
