Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.583448 By Genesis. By Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins, and Tony Banks. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Rock. 27 pages. Jeff Tincher #3893139. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.583448). If there ever was a rock song that would train you to count beats to a measure, it is this one. And what I like about it is that the song is a danceable tune even with all the time signature changes. In the original key from Genesis' Duke project, this song is as much fun to perform as it is to listen to. This arrangement uses the live ending from their Three Sides Live CD. Duration = 4:04. Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.763033 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Pop. 8 pages. RayThompsonMusic #370744. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.763033). We Can Work It Out is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, written by Paul McCartneyand John Lennon. It was first issued as a double A-side single with Day Tripper in December 1965.It also appeared on the 1966 US release Yesterday and Today. The release marked the first time in Britain that both tracks on an artist's single were promoted as joint A-sides.The song was recorded during the sessions for the band's Rubber Soul album. The single was number 1 in Britain (where it won the Ivor Novello Award for the top-selling A-side of 1965), the United States, Australia, Canada and Ireland. In the UK, it was the seventh highest selling single of the 1960s. We Can Work It Out is a comparatively rare example of a Lennon–McCartney collaboration from this period in the Beatles' career, in that it recalls the level of collaboration the two songwriters had shared when writing the group's hit singles of 1963. This song, A Day in the Life, Baby, You're a Rich Man and I've Got a Feeling, are among the notable exceptions. Arranged wind quartet: fl, ob, cl and bsn. Melody is shared amongst 3 treble clef instruments, bassoon provides steady bass line. Video is the clarinet quartet version.

Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Baroque,Pop,Rock,Wedding. 9 pages. RayThompsonMusic #835697. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1240327). Arranged wind quartet: fl, ob, clt and bsnIn My Life is a song by the English rock band the Beatles. It appeared on their 1965 album Rubber Soul. Its lyrics were written primarily by John Lennon, credited to Lennon–McCartney. George Martin contributed the  solo bridge passage. The song was recorded on 18 October 1965, and was complete except for the instrumental bridge. At that time, Lennon had not decided what instrument to use, but he subsequently asked George Martin to play a piano solo, suggesting something Baroque-sounding. Martin wrote a Bach-influenced piece that he found he could not play at the song's tempo. On 22 October, the solo was recorded with the tape running at half speed, so when played back at normal pace the piano was twice as fast and an octave higher, solving the performance challenge and also giving the solo a unique timbre, reminiscent of a harpsichord.According to Lennon, In My Life was his first real major piece of work because it was the first time he wrote about his own life.In 2000, Mojo named In My Life the best song of all time. Rolling Stone ranked it number 23 on its 2004 list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, and number 98 on the 2021 revised list, as well as fifth on its list of the Beatles' 100 Greatest Songs.i have given 1st verse to oboe, and the 2nd verse to the clrinet. The mp3 excerpt is the end of the clarinet verse going into the bridge.

LicariMusic Preparation Serviceswww.musicprepservices.comHere Comes The Sun is one of the most popular song by The Beatles.  It was written in 1969 at Eric Clapton's house during a difficult time in George Harrison's life.  The song is written in the key of A major (this version is transposed to A-flat major), and features some very sophisticated compositional devices - secondary dominants, borrow chords from parallel keys, and time signatures revealing his influences from Indian music.  This arrangement is perfect for a high school-leveled woodwind quartet.  Bass Clarinet is given the opportunity to have the melody in the upper range of the instrument.Side-note: This arrangement is dedicated to my daughter whose first song she had ever experienced was this song.  Ironically, her name is Lennon.

Arranged standrard wind quartet: flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoonTransposed into Bb from original A to aid players.Melody given to oboe. guitar break to flute . Bassoon covers bass guitarInterest in all parts!!Great fun with mixed time sigs!! Good Morning Good Morning is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.It was written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. Inspiration for the song came to Lennon from a television commercial for Kellogg's Corn Flakes.Another reference to contemporary television was the lyric It's time for tea and Meet the Wife, referring to the BBC sitcom. Lennon himself was critical of the track. It's a throwaway, a piece of garbage, I always thought, he once said. I always had the TV on very low in the background when I was writing, and it came over, and then I wrote the songThe song is played at 117 beats per minute, has an unusual rhythmic feel, and uses different time signatures. Beats are played in groups of 2, 3 and 4, and time signature changes frequently. Parts with 5/4 and 4/4 bars alternate, with 3/4 transitions. Most of the song uses simple time, where the beats are divided into two, but the middle eight sections use compound time, where the beats are divided into triplets.YouTube vid is my brass quartet arrangement.

Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Pop,Wedding. 13 pages. RayThompsonMusic #1003267. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1421929). The Word is a song by English rock band The Beatles, written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and recorded with Lennon on lead vocals. It was first released on their 1965 album Rubber Soul.Musically, the song is founded on a driving funk beat, with few chord changes and a simple melody in the key of D major.(The refrain is a 12 bar blues in D. The main chord is D7(♯9), also used in Drive My Car and Taxman.)John Lennon had felt during his youth that love had been the answer, and had written The Word as his first expression of the concept. He had felt that love was an underlying theme of the universe, and that love was fundamental in many things, which had inspired the lyric In the good and bad books that I have read. The song is credited to Lennon-McCartney, however Lennon had stated that it was mainly mine.It had marked the first time the Beatles had written a song about love as a concept, which would become important in the band's later work.Paul McCartney said of this song, John and I would like to do songs with just one note like 'Long Tall Sally'. We get near it in 'The Word'Arranged here for wind quartet, the flute takes verse 1 and is joined in harmony by the clarinet for verse 2.Verse 3 is taken by the oboe, and all 3 top instruments take the melody, and chordal harmony for verse 4  till the end,The bassoon takes the bass guitar riff throughout. The mp3 starts just before the 4th verse.
