By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Pop. 8 pages. RayThompsonMusic #370744. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.763033).

We Can Work It Out is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, written by Paul McCartneyand John Lennon.

It was first issued as a double A-side single with Day Tripper in December 1965.
It also appeared on the 1966 US release Yesterday and Today.

The release marked the first time in Britain that both tracks on an artist's single were promoted as joint A-sides.The song was recorded during the sessions for the band's Rubber Soul album.
The single was number 1 in Britain (where it won the Ivor Novello Award for the top-selling A-side of 1965), the United States, Australia, Canada and Ireland. In the UK, it was the seventh highest selling single of the 1960s.

We Can Work It Out is a comparatively rare example of a Lennon–McCartney collaboration from this period in the Beatles' career, in that it recalls the level of collaboration the two songwriters had shared when writing the group's hit singles of 1963.
This song, A Day in the Life, Baby, You're a Rich Man and I've Got a Feeling, are among the notable exceptions.

Arranged wind quartet: fl, ob, cl and bsn.
Melody is shared amongst 3 treble clef instruments, bassoon provides steady bass line.

Video is the clarinet quartet version.

The Word is a song by English rock band The Beatles, written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and recorded with Lennon on lead vocals. It was first released on their 1965 album Rubber Soul.

Musically, the song is founded on a driving funk beat, with few chord changes and a simple melody in the key of D major.(The refrain is a 12 bar blues in D. The main chord is D7(♯9), also used in Drive My Car and Taxman.)

John Lennon had felt during his youth that love had been the answer, and had written The Word as his first expression of the concept. He had felt that love was an underlying theme of the universe, and that love was fundamental in many things, which had inspired the lyric In the good and bad books that I have read. The song is credited to Lennon-McCartney, however Lennon had stated that it was mainly mine.It had marked the first time the Beatles had written a song about love as a concept, which would become important in the band's later work.

Paul McCartney said of this song, John and I would like to do songs with just one note like 'Long Tall Sally'. We get near it in 'The Word'

Arranged here for wind quartet, the flute takes verse 1 and is joined in harmony by the clarinet for verse 2.
Verse 3 is taken by the oboe, and all 3 top instruments take the melody, and chordal harmony for verse 4  till the end,
The bassoon takes the bass guitar riff throughout.

The mp3 starts just before the 4th verse.

By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Pop,Wedding. 8 pages. RayThompsonMusic #837443. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1242086).

Arranged standard wind quartet: fl, ob, clt & bsn.

Taken from the album The Beatles known as the White Album.

It was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney, and performed as a solo piece by McCartney with solo acoustic guitar.

McCartney explained on Chaos and Creation at Abbey Road, aired in 2005, that the guitar accompaniment for Blackbird was inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach's Bourrée in E minor, a well-known lute piece, often played on the classical guitar.
As teenagers, he and George Harrison tried to learn Bourrée as a show off piece. The Bourrée is distinguished by melody and bass notes played simultaneously on the upper and lower strings.

McCartney adapted a segment of the Bourrée (reharmonised into the original's relative major key of G) as the opening of Blackbird, and carried the musical idea throughout the song.

My arrangement gives the vocal solo to the oboe.

Yesterday is a song by English rock band the Beatles written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon–McCartney) first released on the album Help! in the United Kingdom in August 1965.

Eight Days a Week is a song by the English rock band the Beatles. It was written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon based on McCartney's original idea.
The song was released in the United Kingdom in December 1964 on the album Beatles for Sale.

In the United States, it was first issued as a single in February 1965 before appearing on the North American release Beatles VI.
The song was the band's seventh number 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, a run of US chart success achieved in just over a year.

The single was also number 1 in Canada, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The Beatles recorded Eight Days a Week at EMI Studios in London in October 1964. The track opens with a fade-in, marking the first time that this technique had been used on a pop studio recording.

The song was reissued worldwide in 2000 on the Beatles compilation album 1.

It also provided the title for director Ron Howard's 2016 documentary film on the band's years as live performers, The Beatles: Eight Days a Week.
