Several stately treatments of the tune are followed by a toccata-like section where all ringers have active, challenging roles to play. The final verse includes lyrics added by Fred Gramann that speak of the various roles played by bells and their power to bring unity. This can be sung by the ringers if desired and/or can be printed for the listeners so they can participate.

When the players are all in place, faster, joyous rhythms break out with the addition of the drum set. Solos that mimic improvisation are written out for the instrumentalists and the bells, but the bell solos may be omitted if desired.
