Handbell - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767671 Composed by John Bacchus Dykes, Spanish Hymn, and and Johann M. Haydn. Arranged by c.e. walz. Sacred. Score. 7 pages. C.E. Walz #4802319. Published by C.E. Walz (A0.767671). Maestro gives his seal of approval for these beginning handbell arrangements of  three traditional worship hymns (Come, Christians, Join to Sing, Holy, Holy, Holy, and O Worship the King.) Created to insure quick success for new ringers, WORSHIP BELLS hymn trio does not include hymn melody or intricate rhythm patterns. Ringers play 'simple to count' chords for the most part. I use the color-coding method of highlighting the ringer's notes in the handbell chart and then highlighting with the same color the notes in the hymn. Each measure is numbered and if your ringer can count and follow the colors, he/she can ring! For those new to reading music, music instruction begins with identifying 1/4, 1/2, whole notes, dotted notes, repeat signs, and practicing specific rhythm patterns for each hymn. Identifying note names comes later. You'll have a great sounding handbell choir in no time, especially when you add in your piano/organ accompaniment of these hymns and a soloist, ensemble, or congregational singing! Seven pages total. The first page of the set gives more helpful information, so as Maestro would say, Go ring those bells!.

Handbell - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767676 Composed by French carol. Arranged by c.e. walz. Christmas,Sacred. Score. 2 pages. C.E. Walz #6081145. Published by C.E. Walz (A0.767676). Sing We Now of Christmas is a wonderfully rhythmic minor key hymn that translates well to handbells, and beginning handbells at that! All within the span of less than an octave, this piece only requires six bells. If each ringer holds two bells, that makes only three ringers in all. My friend maestro said he likes the almost constant G on the second page, for he says it sounds like bells clanging in a tower, Christmas bells! Two pages, key of G minor, no key changes. Tempo set at 76 bpm, but challenge your choir to play this faster and see how that sounds!
