It is a step up from a beginner piece, using many 'dotted quarter - eighth' and 'eighth - dotted quarter' patterns in the rhythms. Starting with a lone melody line, it develops into a simply accompanied song with the melody repeated in the treble clef, and then in the bass clef. This gentle tune has been used for many hymns and songs beyond its roots as a lullaby. This is a reproducible product. Moreover, this arrangement is designed as an opener for any religious ceremony but, it could be played at any event. The arranger is Brian Leverett. He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education from Wayne State University and has now retired from teaching band in the Detroit Public Schools.
