As Rain From the Clouds, a hymn found in the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal, has been arranged by Karen Buckwalter, for 3-5 octaves of handbells alone, harp alone or handbells and harp together. A separate version for a 26 string lever harp is also available. Based on the familiar Scottish tune, AFTON WATER (Flow Gently, Sweet Afton), the lyrics of the hymn speak of God’s Word as rain from the clouds and soil for good seed to grow. Appropriate for any Sunday, this lovely, lyrical arrangement will also be a great change of pace in a concert or festival setting.

3, 4, 5 or 6 octaves handbells with chime tree, rain sticks and/or ocean drum - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: C7.CGB1216

Composed by Sandra Eithun. General. With optional 3 or 5 octaves handchimes. Score. 16 pages. Chorister's Guild - Digital #CGB1216. Published by Chorister's Guild - Digital (C7.CGB1216).

Throughout all of life’s trials, hope gives us the strength to rebuild and confidently reinvent our circumstances. Rays of Hope is an original piece for handbells that depicts the remnants of a storm that has passed, and then begins to hint at the light that is coming to bring us a new day.  The opening illustrates the passing unrest and gives way to a bouncy theme that conjures imagery of dancing light. A thoughtful middle section reminds the listener that uncluttered days are never a given or soon forgotten. But, hope does return with the theme to round out the ending of the piece. Techniques such as singing bell, suspended bells with mallets, thumb damp and LV are incorporated. The texture of the piece is further enhanced by the addition of chime tree, ocean drum and/or rain sticks and optional handchimes, all combining to add interest.

Level 3- • A hauntingly beautiful flute part and an easy-but-effective percussion part for rain stick and chime tree join handbells in this stunning original work. Equally satisfying on three, four, five, six, or seven octaves, the piece does not use any parentheses or brackets. Singing bells add to the New Age air of calm and stillness. This breathtaking, contemplative work is suited for worship or concert. Fans of artists like Enya and Celtic Woman will find even the demo recording appealing for meditation or yoga.

Handbell - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1308228

Composed by Antonio Vivaldi. Arranged by Cheryl (Sutton) Baker - Bronze:FX. Baroque,Chamber,Classical,Wedding. Score. 6 pages. Bronze:FX #897457. Published by Bronze:FX (A0.1308228).

This delightful arrangement of the first movement of The Spring is perfect for any energetic moment, regardless of season.  Its charm comes from its quick tempo and dynamic contrasts, complete with the sounds of the spring season (perhaps add a bird whistle, rainstick, props, poem, or a nature slide show).

The arrangement is for 4, 5, or 6 ringers using two or three octaves of handbells (or handchimes).  Complete assignments and performance notes are enclosed, and the piece is Level 3 when played with six ringers.  This piece may also be performed by four- or six-in-hand ensembles without tables.

The piece is in rondeau form, which means that it has a recurring theme (similar to a refrain) and verses that extremely differ from one another.  Rondeau form is usually explained by letters, where A equals the recurring theme, and each other letter like B or C indicate completely differing verses.  The form then looks like this: ABACADAE etcetera. Because of its consistency, both audience and performers alike will look forward to the next time that the A theme appears.

Performance time:
• 3 minutes.
