The dotted rhythm gives it a nice relaxing lilt like gentle waves on a river. The piano part starts quietly, builds up to a climax on the third page, and then tapers off quietly again at the end. The broken chords, descending scale passages, and expression marks enhance the romantic tone of the song. Due to the technical challenges on the third page this is considered to be at the advanced/intermediate level.
