Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1370002 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Kathryn W. Hales. Children,Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. Score. 6 pages. Kevin G. Pace #954376. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1370002). A children's song, telling the story of the sons of Mosiah from the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Christ.  Music by Kevin G. Pace.  Text by Kathryn W. Hales.Text:The Lord told King Mosiah to let his sons go away, To the land of Nephi where for many years they'd stay. They wanted to preach the gospel in the Lord's ministry, To the sinful, wicked Lamanites who were their enemies. Now one of the sons was Ammon who had been a rebellious youth, But after Alma's change of heart, he wanted to know the truth. He became Lamoni's servant, watching over the king's sheep, He beat some robbers who came to steal, leaving a pile of arms at his feet. Then he taught King Lamoni the true source of his strength and might, That the king should change his ways, repent and do what's right. Lamoni believed what Ammon taught and all his people too, They became so very righteous because God's promises are true.Aaron was another son of Nephite King Mosiah, He taught of the Creation, of the Fall and God's Son who would die To save all men from death and sin, yea, Jesus, the Holy One, Who would come to earth at some future day to save each and ev'ry one.Omni and his brother Himnor were also Mosiah's sons, But not much is recorded about their missions. But they were faithful servants during all their trial filled days, They taught many people how to walk in God's own chosen way.Chorus:I want to be like Mosiah's sons and share God's holy word. I can be a missionary, a servant of the Lord. I can be so very courageous, I can the gospel teach, That all may know God's holy grace is within their loving reach.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1496482 Composed by Tiffany Prochera. Arranged by Tiffany Prochera. Children,Christmas,Holiday. Score. 79 pages. Swimming Tigress Music #1073003. Published by Swimming Tigress Music (A0.1496482). I Don't Like Winter and Other Songs to Celebrate the Winter Season is a collection of 11 songs for young singers filled with tunes about all aspects of the winter season - from skating alone on the pond in the backyard, picking out presents for siblings,  spending time with the family, embracing the cold, wanting to escape the cold, going to visit Santa for the first time, and being so enthusiastic to celebrate all of the special days that happen at this time of year! This collection was inspired by a voice teacher friend of mine - serendipitously also named Tiffany  :-) -  who was looking for songs about the season that were non-traditional and relatable to a wider range of singers. It's my pleasure to offer up some options!I had so much fun writing these songs and I hope students, teachers, and audiences alike enjoy them just as much! May you laugh as you state your case to go on a winter vacation.  May you cry at the idea of wearing a special hat made with a grandmother's love. May you be left  breathless with joy as you glide on a frozen pond with no one else around.  In addition to all of these brand-spankin' new tunes, I also included the previously-released  Everyone's a Kid at Christmas because, well, it's a hoot! These are crowd pleasers perfect for holiday recitals, and some can be performed in a group as well as solos.A note for teachers: These songs do have varying ranges. I, for the most part, notated them as I conceived of them. But I did my best to provide alternate pitches in case the melody goes a little high or a little low. So, I invite to you peruse a song in it's entirety and see where there may be options even if the designated range may seem a little wide. It is my intention to make these songs as accessible to as many singers as possible.

THE GRANDPARENT'S DAY SONG  PIANO / VOCALPopular SongWords & Music by ROBERT VAN HORNE4 PagesIt was September 5, 2014 at my First Friday Piano Concert at the Atrium in San Jose, CA that I premiered THE GRANDPARENT'S DAY SONG.Many of the Atrium residents, as well as many of us, are unaware that the second Sunday in September is NATIONAL GRANDPARENTS DAY.Since there are only a handful of songs dedicated to grandparents, I decided to write and dedicate this special piece of music to grandparents all over the world. My inspiration for the music and words came to me from my many years of performing for the wonderful residents at the Atrium (Brookdale San Jose). This is a popular song for grandkids, parents and singers who want to honor their grandparents, giving them special acknowledgement with gratitude and love.A Youtube video of Robert's recording of this piece is available at: http://youtu.be/dRkVdv55Zao Website: www.robertvanhorne.comEmail: rvh@robertvanhorne.comRobert is a member of ASCAP

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1442735 Composed by Lon W. Chaffin. Broadway,Musical/Show. Score. 80 pages. LCS Productions #1022712. Published by LCS Productions (A0.1442735). This is a one-act musical to be performed for children.  It takes traditional nursery rhyme characters and interweaves their stories to create a fun, and sometimes poignant, tale of love and self-discovery.The characters include Wee Willie Winkie, Jack and Jill, Mary (who had a little lamb) Georgy Porgy, Tom Tucker, the Baker, and the Candlestick Maker. This version is for voices and piano.  There is also a version with a chamber ensemble score.  Please contact the composer directly for more information.PrefaceBeing a kid can be fabulous and frightening at the same time.  There are so many new things to find and feel and life is an adventure that's exciting and scary.  As adults, we've all been there, and have become what we are because of where we've been.  It's sad though, to see grown-ups who have lost the child in themselves. There's something very healthy in being able to play, pretend, imagine, laugh without reservation, and cry without embarrassment.  Once Upon a Rhyme  was intended to speak to the child in us all, whether we're 6 or 60.  We invite you to... look and you will find visions in your mind of a day when love was play and life a nursery rhyme.  Once upon a rhyme, forever in your heart. Find the child within yourself and let the visions start..
