In 1931, Alberta Nichols wrote the music and Mann Holiner wrote the words for a song titled Till the Real Thing Comes Along which was featured in a Broadway revue titled Rhapsody in Black. The review, produced by Lew Leslie, was similar to the famous Blackbirds reviews of the late 1920s and 1930s, and featured Ethel Waters, who introduced Till the Real Thing Comes Along. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements and was developed from the 1936 sheet music. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills to keep things moving along smoothly. We hope you like what we've done with this grand old tune!

Moonlight in Vermont is a popular song about the U.S. state of Vermont, written by John Blackburn (lyrics) and Karl Suessdorf (music) and published in 1944. The lyrics are unusual in that they do not rhyme.

Memories of You is a popular song about nostalgia with lyrics written by Andy Razaf and music composed by Eubie Blake and published in 1930. The song was introduced by singer Minto Cato in the Broadway show Lew Leslie's Blackbirds of 1930. A 1930 version recorded by Louis Armstrong featuring Lionel Hampton is the first known use of the vibraphone in popular music. This version was developed from the original 1930 sheet music and features a root-based chord-blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added a few bits of left-hand rhythm to keep the music flowing! We hope you like what we did with this classic old tune!
