A song for those grieving the loss of a pet, especially those whose pets support them through issues such as PTSD and depression. For more information about this song and free downloads, go to: www.sites.google.com/site/davidwkaismusicBeyond The Rainbow Bridge by David Kai ©2019 The day that I first met you, I held you in the palm of my hand And from that moment onward I knew that we would be the best of friends And though you started as a Christmas gift to set beneath the tree You know you really were a gift from God to me. We walked through fields and forests, We’d hit the trail in sun and wind and rain When I was at my lowest, you licked my hand and raised me up again But time passed much too quickly, and you know just what you did You took a piece of my broken heart beyond the rainbow bridge. I’m not sure what heaven’s like , I’m not sure how things will be But if we won’t be together, it won’t feel like heaven to me But if the Lord be willing, I’ll hear your welcome bark again, And see you running to me, through the golden fields of grain Most faithful of companions, you’d been with me in sickness and in health You always loved to see me, even when I couldn’t really love myself And when you licked my hand that one last time Then you know just what you did You took a piece of my broken heart beyond the rainbow bridgeYou took a piece of my broken heart beyond the rainbow bridge.www.sites.google.com/site/davidwkaismusic

Top note B naturalAlso sung by Billy ThorpeHas lovely 12/8 lilt in style of Unchained MelodyChords included.LyricsI told the brook that runs down through the valleyA secret my best friend never knew. The brook told the trees and the trees told the breeze,That I was in love with you. The trees told the flowers hiding there by the hilltop. The clouds told the moon that shone above. So angry yet blue when they found out that youAnd your heart had another love. The brook became angry and changed to a river, rushing so madly along. The soft summer breeze that played tag with the trees, became so wild and so strong. The bashful white flowers hiding there by the hilltop,Grew dark when the rain came pouring down.Their hearts couldn't hide all the tears that were cried,And had carpeted upon the ground. The storm has gone over, there'll be sunshine again. The chains that held me are now gone. The trees wave hello as I stand here below,And the brook sings the sweetest song. The bashful white flowers are again by the hill-top.The sun and the moon are still my friends.I promise there'll be no more heartaches for me,Till I fall in love again.

Published by Renato Tagliabue (A0.724431). I have ridden the wings of the dawn looking for a place to lie my heart to rest, flying over seas and hills I found your splendid home. How could I explain what I felt when I saw your light, when I heard you calling my poor self. I feel your spirit looking after my lonely soul, I know your head is placed on my troubled head; I hear your voice: it's as sweet as a dream. Please don't let me lose my way hold me within your light. How could I close my heart to your blessed charity? Stars and skies tell me of your loving harmony. I see your love in the brightness of the moon; darkness will fade away the sun will shine over me.
